I Carrot About You with Newton's Nook Designs!! =)

HELLO and HAPPY FRIDAY!! =)
I'm here today with a project I've made for the Newton's Nook Designs Blog!! My FIRST post since my Surgery!! YIPPEE!! I've made a FUN Spring themed Card using the bunny, newly named "Lily" from the Hello Spring Stamp Set!! Then I thought she needed a Basket FULL of Carrots that I also Stamped from the Hello Spring Stamp Set!! I placed them in one of the Baskets from the Basket of Wishes Stamp Set!! I used Copic Markers to Color my Images and then added some details using a White Gel Pen and some Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker for some SPARKLE!! =) I used a Lil' Inker Designs Die to created the FUN Design on my MFT Stone Grey Cardstock Base!! Then I also used a Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Rectangle Die to create the Main Panel for my Scene!! I used some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to Ink round the Edges of the Top of the Stitched Rectangle Die to create the Sky!! I wanted the Panel to POP of the Card Base so I decided to use an Avey Elle Dotted Borders Pinked Edge from some MFT Steel Grey Cardstock!! I just LOVE the way it looks against the Stitched Card Base!! Then I used an MFT Grass Border Die and Die Cut a couple different Green Coordination Cardstocks and Inked the edges with some Ground Espresso Distress Ink to add some Interest!! I Stamped and Embossed my Sentiment on a MFT Banner!! Double Stamping the word Carrot with some Hero Arts Rust Ink to create a Visual Triangle with ALL of the range Images on my Card!! =) I hope you LOVE it as much as I do!!

Freshly Made Sketches #200 Challenge ~ Newton's Nook Designs!! =)

Hello!!
I'm here to share the New Freshly Made Sketch #200 Challenge ~ A Celebration and the Card that I've made!! I've used the New Newton's Nook Designs "Mermaid Crossing" Stamp Set along with some of the New Avery Elle Dies!!

       
I was REALLY Inspired with this Sketch and how there were so MANY Possibilities with it!! I stared by Inking my Background to create a FUN Sun Set/Sun Rise Scene!! I decided to use Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks for the Ocean and then I Splattered it with some Water for alittle Interest!! I used Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry Distress Inks for the Sky!! I used Mustard Seed Distress Ink for the Stitched Heart "Sun" Die Cut and then I Sprayed it with Water after I Inked it up because I decided I wanted it to have a more Soft Water Colored look!! I Stamped and Embossed the Mermaid Image and then I colored her in using a Mixture of Distress Inks and Copic Markers!! I LOVE how well they work together on an Image!! I Covered her Tail with Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker and then Coated it with some WoW Clear Detail Embossing Powder!! I LOVE the way it Looks once it is Heated!! I added the Banner Die Cut to be like a Rock/Island that the Mermaid was Resting on while watching the Sun Set/Sun Rise with her BELOVE Sea Horse!! I added a Few Star Fish that I Stamped, Embossed and Colored using Antique Linen Distress Ink and then covered with some Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker!! A few Crystal Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh and my Card was done!! I LOVE the way it turned out and I CAN'T WAIT to see what you create for this Challenge!!

Avery Elle Challenge #25 Rainbow ~ Ellie in a Tea Cup!! =)

Hello!!
I'm stopping in to share the card I've made for the Avery Elle Challenge #25 Rainbow!!
I've had this idea Sketched out since I got these Sweet Stamp Sets as soon as they were released!! OMG OMG OMG!! That's been SEVERAL Months ago already!! FUNNY how time FLIES by SO FAST!! I actually made a Similar Card for my Baby Sister minus the Rainbow Theme and I NEVER shared it so I thought I'd recreate a Similar Scene and then I added a BEAUTIFUL Distress Inked Rainbow Background!! I LOVE the way it turned out SO MUCH that I also created a Paper Pieced Card that I'll share on another Day!! =) I took the Mask-erade On-Line Card Class earlier this month and it seems like Masking has been one of my FAVORITE Techniques lately!! =) I LOVE ALL of the FUN things that you can do just by Masking!! So I Masked my Design so that it looks as though the Elephant from the Ellie Stamp Set is inside one of the Sweet Cups sitting on the Saucer from the Tea Time Stamp Set!! I wanted it to be an Outdoor Scene so I created a Ground and then decided to add a Few Flags just for FUN also from the Ellie Stamp Set!! I used the New Double Pierced Rectangle Die Set too and I think these are going to be my NEW GO TO Dies for my Card Bases!! I LOVE the soft Piercing Detail they give!! I added my Sentiment from the Tea Time Stamp Set and my Card was done after I used the Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Marker to color over the Flags, Checks on Ellie and the Cup and Saucer and Sprinkled on a Few Flat Crystal Clear Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh for some added Sparkle!!

Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challenge w/ Avery Elle ~ Flower Arrangment Card!! =)

Hello!!
I'm stopping in to share the card I've made for the Essentials by Ellen Mix It Up Challenge and the Avery Elle Challenge #24 Spring!! =) This time we were asked to use Products from both Essentials by Ellen and Avery Elle!! =) SQUEAL!! I LOVE both of these companies and I was having a HARD time deciding what to create!!?? I finally decide to use the New Essentials by Ellen Bohemian Garden by Julie Ebersole Stamp Set and the Wild Garden by Julie Ebersole Die Set just released and Avery Elle Happy Papers and the Zen Papers!! I used a Sentiment from Avery Elle too, from the Bottle It Up Stamp Set!! I wanted to create a BEAUTIFUL Flower Arrangement and I LOVE the way it tuned out!! A few Crystal Sequins and my card was done!! =)

Paper Sweeties May Release Party!! =)

Welcome to the Paper Sweeties May Release Party!! Today I've used the New MVP Stamp Set and the New Tree of Life Sweet Cuts Die Set!! I used one of the New Simon Says Stamp Nesting Circle Dies and an Avery Elle Die for my Card Front Panel!! I LOVE the Design of the Frame Die as it reminds me of the Stitches in a Baseball!! I then create a Scene and Stamped and Embossed all of the Images before I Colored them with my Copic Markers and Paper Pieced them together!!

Avery Elle ~ Masking Challenge ~ 2 Ways!! =)

HELLO!!
I‘m stopping in to share the card that I have made for the Avery Elle Masking Challenge!!  :-) There are SEVERAL Amazing entries already, so I hope you‘ll head over and check them all out!! After I looked through my stash I decided to use the Home Sweet Home Stamp Set!! I just LOVE  the Sweet Images and I thought it would be FUN to create a card for the Newly Wed couple that are building a New Home just down the country road from us!! We live near a Bluff that was actually an Indian Hunting Site and we have found SEVERAL Arrowheads and Pottery pieces and things over the years!! So the Tee Pee felt right for several reasons!!

I'm using Two different types of Masking for this Card!! One with Masking Tape for my Stamping, and the other using a Liquid Masking so I can WaterColor my Background!! I started with a piece of Tim Holtz WaterColor Paper and I stamped the center Tee Pee then I Masked off the Tee Pee in the Center first so I could stamp the other two on either side then I Masked them all!! I took the Grass Image from the Bottle It Up Stamp Set and stamped them on the sides of the Masked Tee Pee's to ground everything!! I then took the Masks off and applied another Masking of Rubber Cement over the Tee Pees and the Grass!! I let it dry completely and then I took my Distress Markers and my Acrylic Blocks and created several Watercolors for my card!!! I find it works better and the colors all blend better if I have the Watercolors that I want to use ready to go rather than having to mix them as I go!! Sometimes the area will be dry before I add the next color and they don't blend as much as I'd like them too, so this way I can just paint and I don't have to stop to mix colors in between!! :-) I started with the ground and after I had it the way I liked it I sprinkled it with some Table Salt!! I learned this in school and let it dry!! It dries with a REALLY AWESOME Textured look and it reminds me of the soil here!!  Then I colored the sky and I LOVE the mixture I got here!! Looks like a real cloud filled sky!! I let that dry and then I was ready to remove the Rubber Cement Masks!! I was left with my Perfect White Tee Pee's!! I wanted to leave them white, but added color to the details of the Tee Pees so I picked three of my Favorite Color Combos and I Watercolored the rest of the scene!! I even added some shading with Pumice Stone Distress Ink Watercolor to the Tee Pees and then I just HAD to add some Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker to the Colored parts of the Tee Pee's!! I REALLY LOVE the way this turned out!!!!  SQUEAL!! :-)

Avery Elle Paper Piecing Challenge ~ Bee Mine Heart Window Shaker Card!! =)

I'm stopping in to share a card I've made for the Avery Elle Challenge!! This month it is Paper Piecing which is one of my FAVORITE Techniques!! In fact I LOVE to Paper Piece SMALL Little Image and see if I can get people to say WOWOWOWOW!! How did she do that!! =) Just makes me SMILE!! So I decided to make a shaker card using the New Avery Elle Bee Mine Stamp Set and the coordinating Dies!! I LOVE this SWEET little set!! =)

I wanted to make some Little Bee Shaker pieces so I stamped and die cut them out using the die!! I colored the wings with a Copic Marker and then used a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker and added some Clear Embossing Powder over the wings!! I LOVE how REAL they look!! I then stamped the Bees onto a Patterned Paper and then cut out the Bodies of the Bees and glued them onto the Die Cut and Embossed Pieces!! I also Die Cut the Bee Hive from some White Cardstock and then stamped and Fussy Cut the Hive out and added it to the Die Cut Image!! For the Heart I waned it to stand out so I stamped it in Versa Mark and then added some WOW Glitter Embossing Powder!! I just LOVE this stuff!! Glitter without the MESS!!  EEEKKKK!! =) I also added some shading to my Paper Pieced Images using both Colored Pencils and Copics!! I really LOVE the added depth it gives to the Images!! I also added some more Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker to the Flowers and the Bee Mine Words!! =) I then die cut my shaker elements!! I used the New Dotted Dies and the Embellish It Needle Little Heart Die to created a Shaker Frame!! I also used the New Finished Frames Dies in order to create some Sweet Little Heart Confetti Pieces for the inside of my shaker from some Red Patterned Paper!!
 


I added some Foam Tape and my Bees and some Stamping on the inside of the Panel to add to the Design!! I LOVE the way it looks!! I then added my bees and some Sequins and Seed Beads to finish off my Design!! I hope you'll check out the other entries too as there is TONS of AMAZING Inspiration being shared!! =)
