Welcome to Release Week for the Newton's Nook Designs ~ 13th Birthday Release!! Today I'm sharing a FUN Birthday Card that I've made using the NEW Hula Hoop Newton Stamp Set and the coordinating NEW Hula Hoop Newton Die Set!! Here's a look at the NEW Sets!!
SQUEAL!! How FUN is this NEW SET!! I still remember when we used to have Hula Hoop Fund Raisers for Red Cross when I was younger!! It was one of my FAVORITE Times of the year and we WON Prizes for how long we could Hula Hoop without stopping!! Did anyone else get to do this at their Schools!!?? Now they do Jump Roping or Bike Riding around here and I WISH they'd bring Hula Hooping back!!
I Started by Stamping and Embossing the Images from the NEW Hula Hoop Newton, Birthday Postage Sampler and Newton's Christmas Tree Stamp Sets onto some White Cardstock using Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and Embossing with WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder!! Then I used Copic Markers to Color the Images!!
Cat: E40, E43 & E47 Checks: R00 Blue: B00, B32 & B34
Pink: R81, R83 & R85 Yellow: Y21, Y24 & Y27
Turquoise: BG11, BG13 & BG32
Then I Die Cut the Images out using the coordinating Die Sets, the NEW Hula Hoop Newton, Birthday Postage Sampler and Newton's Christmas Tree Die Sets!! I added some White Gel Pen Highlights and added some Black Glaze Pen to the Nose!!
Next I created the Shaker Background using the Card Layout 4 Die!! I Die Cut it from White Cardstock 6 Times in order to create the Shaker Frame!! I adhered 5 of them together and then adhered them to an A2 White Card Panel!! Then I used the same Card Layout 4 Die again from several different Pattern Papers from the Birthday Time Paper Pad!! SWOON!! I LOVE the Colors and Patterns of this Collection and they are PERFECT for both Feminine and Masculine Card Designs!! I adhered the Yellow Patterned Paper Frame to the last White Cardstock Frame and then backed it with some Acetate to create the Shaker Frame!! Then I adhered the rest of the Patter Paper pieces to the inside of the Frame Pieces and used some Trinity Stamps Bokeh Circles Confetti and adhered the Frame Window!!
Next I adhered the Packages, Balloons and Hula Hoop Newton to the Shaker Window using some Foam Tape for some Dimension!! I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment from the NEW Hula Hoop Newton Stamp Set onto White Cardstock Die Cut using the Circle Frames Die Set!! I adhered it to the Shaker Panel using Foam Tape for Dimension too and I LOVE how it turned out!!
