HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY 4th of JULY!!
I'm up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today and what better way to CELEBRATE the 4th of July than with a Flag Card!! =) I've used the Newton's Nook Designs Points & Plumes Die Set along with the Newton's Nook Designs Touchdown Tails Stamp Set!! I wanted the Arrows to be Backed with Red Glitter to create the "Stripes" of the Flag and then I used the Star Image and White Heat Embossed them onto some Distress Watercolor Paper!! I then used Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink and Colored the ENITRE Piece!! I took a Rag and Removed any of the Ink that was sitting on top of the Embossed Stars and Adhered it to my Card Front!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it turned out!!

Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws #33 Ombre` Challenge!! =)

HELLO & HAPPY FRIDAY!!
WOW!! Is it me or did this week just FLY by!!?? I'm here today to share the card I've made for the New Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws #33 Ombre` Challenge!! I was SO EXCITED when I saw this Challenge!! I decided to use the SWEET Bird Image from the Darling Duos Stamp Set mixed with the Die Cut Feathers and a Layered Arrow from the Points & Plumes Die Set!!

I Stamped and Embossed the Bird Image and used the Coordinating NND Darling Hearts Die Set to Die Cut it out!! I then used my Copic Markers to Color them in using the Colors of Pinks and Blues!! I added some Shimmer Glaze Pen Dot Details to add some Sparkle!! Then I Die Cut SEVERAL of the Feathers and used the same Colors to Color the Feathers in the same Ombre` Colors!! I wanted to added some Gold like in the Challenge Photo so I Dipped the edges of the Feathers in to some WoW Gold Glitter Embossing Powder!! I LOVE the way they look in real Life!! =) I Layered them together underneath the Bird Image and then Die Cut a Flag Banner from the New Garden Window Die Set and Stamped and Embossed my Sentiment from the NND Flitry Flamingo's Stamp Set using the same WoW Gold Glitter Embossing Powder!! I wanted it to POP off the Image so I Die Cut another Flag Banner in Black Cardstock and layered it behind!! I added the same WoW Gold Glitter Embossing Powder to the Arrows that I Glued together and then added some Foam Tape and mounted it above the Sentiment Flag Banner!! A Few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins Finishes off the Design!! A "DEER" Couple Anniversary Card w/ Newton's Nook Designs!! =)

HELLO!!
I'm here with Newton's Nook Designs today to share a SWEET "DEER" Couple Anniversary Card!! I have had this Card Sketched out since I saw this Set and I'm SO HAPPY with ho it turned out!! Not sure about you!!?? Sometimes you have an Idea and it just doesn't turn out the way you want it too!!?? I started by Die Cutting my Arches Water Color Paper using a Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Rectangle Die!! Then I added a Light Watercolor Wash of Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to the Background!! For some added Texture I Flicked my Background with some Black, White and Antique Gold Acrylic Paint using a Fine Paint Brush!! I LOVE the way it looks in Real Life!! I Die Cut ALL of my Pieces (2 Stags from the NND Splendid Stags Die Set, an Arrow from the NND Points and Plumes Die Set, Stamped and Die Cut 1 Twine Wreath, and 2 of the Leafy Sprig Images and cut them apart so I'd have 4 Pieces!! I also Stamped and Embossed 7 Flowers with some WoW Red Glitter Embossing Powder  and 17 Little Leaves all from the NND Happy Little Thoughts Stamp Set and the Coordinating NND Happy Little Thoughts Die Set!!  I used my Distress Markers to Water Color the Leafy Wreath Images, the Leaves and my Stag Images!! In order to have them facing each other I just Flipped the Doe over and Cut off the Antlers!! So FUN Right!!?? I wanted the "Arrow" as if he was wearing a Bow Tie!!?? Then I wanted a Flower in her Ear so you could tell it was a Female if "Deer" aren't your thing!!?? I added some Imaginesce Hot Set Gems to the Centers of the Flowers with a Hot Set Tool and I LOVE the way they look!! I wanted a FUN Sentiment so I KNEW I wanted to Double Stamp and Emboss the Happy Sentiment!! Using my New Mini Misti Stamping Tool makes this SO EASY!! =)
I Stamped first with Black Versa Fine Ink and then used Clear Embossing Powder to Emboss it!! Then I restamped it Slightly offset and used some SSS Antique Gold Embossing Powder to Emboss it!! I used the NND Simply Sentimental Stamp Set for the Happy Anniversary and then used the NND Holiday Smooches Stamp Set for the "to a Special Couple" Sentiment!! SQUEAL!! I just LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it turned out and I CAN'T WAIT to give it to my Sister and Brother-In-Law!!

Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #32 ~ Use an Arrow!! =)

HELLO and HAPPY FRIDAY/MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!! =)

Today I'm here with Newton's Nook Designs for the New Inky Paws Challenge #32 ~ Use an Arrow!! I was SUPER EXCITED about the New Challenge and decided to use the New Points & Plumes Die Set along with the New Adventure Awaits Stamp Set for my Card today!!

  

Here's my take on the Challenge Photo!!

I thought it would be FUN to create a Die Cut Background using the Arrow Dies and then I Watercolored a Distressed Watercolor Card Base to go underneath my Die Cut Card Panel!! I used Distress Inks in Tattered Rose and Spun Sugar, Cracked  Pistachio, Tumbled Glass and Peacock Feathers and Worn Lipstick!! I LOVE these Colors together!! Then I Die Cut a MFT Zig Zag Rectangle Die from some Distress Watercolor Paper and Stamped and Embossed my Sentiment along with a Small Arrow Detail!! I Embossed everything in some SSS Fine Detail Antique Gold Embossing Powder and then I decided I wanted the Sentiment to "POP" off my Card alittle more so I used the NEW Mini Misti Stamping Tool I won during the Misti-Mania Event going on over on the My Sweet Petunia Blog to Double Stamp and Emboss the Sentiment using Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink just slightly off from my Antique Gold Stamped and Embossed Sentiment and I REALLY LOVE the way it turned out!! Then to Ground my Sentiment a Bit I Die Cut some SSS Antique Gold Embossed Cardstock along with some Black Cardstock using a Reverse Confetti Edge Essentials Confetti Cuts  Mini Zig Zag Die!! I Adhered them one ontop of another on the Bottom of the Zig Zag Rectangle Stamped Sentiment Piece!! Then I added some Gold and Black Acrylic Paint Splatters and a Mix of Sequins from Little Things from Lucy's Cards Brushed Gold Sparkly Sequin Mix!! I also added some Pretty Pink Posh Iridescent Mini Star Confetti to finish it off!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it turned out!! I CAN'T WAIT to see what you create for this Month's Newton's Nook Designs Inky Paws Challenge #32 ~ Use an Arrow!!
