Good Vibes Halloween Card w/Newton's Nook and Therm O Web!! =)

HELLO CRAFTY FRIENDS!! 

I'm here with Newton's Nook Designs today as part of a WEEK FULL of AMAZING Inspiration with Therm O Web!! If you follow me, then you already know I actually design for both companies!! So I already LOVE to mix these Products together and as you'll see by my Project today its a PERFECT pairing!!

I started by mixing together some White Pearl Metallix Gel and some Gina K Designs White Glitz Glitter Gel!! Then I sprayed the backside of my NND Ghost Stencil with some Pixie Spray and placed it over my Black Card Panel!! Then set it aside to Dry!! 

I Stamped and Embossed the "Good Vibes" Sentiment from the Tropical Fringe Stamp Set using some WoW White Embossing Powder after heat setting it, I placed it back into my Mini MISTI Stamping Tool and restamped it using Versa Mark Ink and then Embossed it again using WoW Glow-in-the-Dark Embossing Powder!! I wanted a Ghost to look like it was SPOOKING OUT behind the sentiment so I used Purple Tape to Mask one of the Ghosts from the Ghost Stencil and then applied the Custom Gel I made again by using the Stencil Pal and set it aside to dry!! 

I Die Cut a Frame for the Stenciled Panel using the Framework Die Set from some Sweet Mango Cardstock and inked the edges with some Wilted Lilac Distress Oxide Ink!! and adhered it to some Taylored Expressions Patterned Paper using some 3D Foam Squares!! 

I Die Cut some Circles using the Frames Squared Die Set and adhered the Sentiment to it!! I inked with some Wilted Lilac Distress Oxide Ink and used some 3D Foam Squares to adhere it to the Stenciled Ghost Panel!!

 Here's a Close-up look at the Card!! I LOVE the Sparkle and Texture!!

Newton's Nook Designs September 2016 Release ~ Newton's BOO-tiful Night!! =)

SQUEAL!! Who's ready for the Newton's Nook Designs September Release!!?? Today we're showcasing the New "Newton's BOO-tiful Night" Stamp Set!! This set is just too SWEET!!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE ALL of the Images and the Sentiments and think you will too!!??  =)

Lights OFF!!   =)

See I told you!! Just so FUN!! So for today's Card I decided it need to be SPECIAL!! I've been seeing LOTS of the CHIBI Lights Cards and thought it was the PERFECT time to break them out and use them for my Card today!! I went with a pretty complicated Design and if I had to do it over I would have started with something ALOT more Simple for my FIRST CHIBI Light Card, but it turned out AWESOME!! So I guess it was WORTH ALL of the FUN!! LOL!! =)
I Stamped and Embossed my Images First and then had to create my Scene which I Watercolored and did some Colored Embossing for the Moon the Stars and Sentiment!! I used Distress Inks for my Background and then added some Distress Paint Splatters in Black Soot and Picket Fence!! I also Die Cut a Pretty Pink Posh Picket Fence Die Cut to finish off the Scene!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way they turned out!! Then I had to Create my Holes for the Lights to shine from!! I First used an Exacto Knife and removed the Pumpkin Faces!! Then colored around the Edges with a Black Soot Distress Marker!! Then I Traced a Piece of Vellum to be the backer to my Pumpkins and colored it a Soft Yellow with a Copic Marker!! Then I Traced the Face Images onto my two Base Panels!! I had to punch through BOTH Pieces to get the lights to shine through!! =) Then I created a Multiple Simple Circuit in order to use 3 Lights one for each of the Pumpkin Faces!! I watched two Helpful Videos!!
One by Jennifer Mcquire and one here by MFT Stamps!! These helped a TON when it came time to design my Circuit on the main Card Base!! I added some Sequins and my Card was done!! SQUEAL!! Then just a WARNING!! If you have Littles that like to ADMIRE your creations be CARFEFUL!! They WILL be AMAZED at these and WILL WARE the Batteries out while looking at them!! My boys played with it SO MUCH I had to add a New Battery just to get the Pictures!! LOL!! =) So just a NOTE if you've been wanting to try these they are FUN to make and pack a HUGE WOW FACTOR!! =)

Today I've made a Sweet Halloween Card using the Hot Dog Doxie Image and wanted him to be holding a Treat Pumpkin!! I Stamped and Embossed the Images and then used Zig Clean Color Markers to Watercolor the Images!!

Mylar Pumpkin Shaker Bag for MFT Card Design Superstar Contest!! =)

Hello!!
I'm stopping in to share the First Card I've made and entering into the MFT You Could be a Card Design Super Star Contest!! You can check it out here on their Blog!!  I have LOVED LOVED LOVED ALL of the AMAZING cards that have been entered so far and I'm SO HAPPY I'm not ONE of the Judges who is going to have the EXTREEMLY HARD Job of narrowing it down to the Top 10 Entries!! EEEKKKK!! I am however SO EXCITED about ALL of the Talent and ALL of the LOVE that is shared during these type of Contests!! Makes me HAPPY to be a Part of this AWESOME Community of Crafters!! =)
I've had this Idea in my Sketch Book for a Year now!! I made this card for a Paper Smooches SPARKS Challenge going on NOW!! (Maybe you'll Play along for a chance to WIN if you have the TIME!!??) I decided it would be FUN to use the Same Mylar Gift/Treat Bag and create a Pumpkin!! Do you remember those Vintage Pumpkin Candy Buckets from when you were a Kid!!?? They were what EVERYONE had to go Trick-or-Treating with!! There weren't THOUSANDS of options like there are today!! =) This is a Spin off of that design only I've turned it into a Pumpkin Shaker for the Front of my Card!!

 I Colored the Front and the Back Sides of the Mylar Treat Bag with Copic Markers R08, YR68 for the Orange, and E37, E18 for the Stem!! Then I Folded the Bag Inside Out to give the Rounded Corners for the Pumpkin Shape!! I started with the Die-namics Paper Bag Peek-a-Boo Die Cuts and I cut out Three Layers each and glued them together to create the Face on my Mylar Shaker Bag Pumpkin!! =) I also used the CUTE Little Spider from the same set and Layered three of those Die Cuts together too!! I also used the Die-namics Fishtale Flags Dies to Die Cut a Flag Banner for my Sentiment that I Heat Embossed in White from an MFT Spider Web Retired Sentiment Set!! I Water Colored my Background using my New Peerless Water Colors and MAN am I LOVING how VIBRANT these colors are!! I found these on SALE for 70% off at a Craft Store because they had been opened and a few of the Sheets had been torn!! SCORE for me though!! =) I was doing a COMPLETE HAPPY DANCE!! SQUEAL!! =) I added some Pretty Pink Posh Sequins in 6mm Sunshine Glow, 4mm Sparkling Clear, 4mm Tangerine, 4mm Charcoal and some of the Silver Shimmer Seed Beads and Tied the Bag Closed!! I Rolled Up the Top to resemble a Stem and then add a Die Cut Felt Leaf from the MFT Die-namics Falling Leaves Die Set!! I also added some Burlap Twine, a Vintage Gold Button and some Wink of Stella Glitter Marker to the Face Images so it looks like the Pumpkin is Glowing!! Some Wiggly Eyes on the Spider and Fishing Line to Attach the Spider to the Card Front and a Few more Sequins were Scattered around the Card and it was Finished!! I sure hope you like my Card and that it brings back some AMAZING Memories from your Childhood!!?? It sure makes me SMILE remembering how MUCH FUN we had getting Dressed Up in our Homemade Halloween Costumes as a Family Growing up and ALL of the Candy we were able to Collect in these Vintage Pumpkin Candy Buckets!!  =)
