Paper Smooches Color Story Challenge February 15-28th!!

HELLO CRAFTY FRIENDS!! 

I'm here with Paper Smooches for the NEW February Challenge!! The theme is "Color Story" perfect for ANY Occasion!! I just LOVE these Colors and I personally wouldn't have used these colors on my own, so I LOVE Color Story challenges for that reason alone!! 

These colors made me thing of the Winter Sunset!! I felt like I needed to create a Warm Hugs Card and I LOVE the way it turned out!! 

I Started by Die Cutting the Fab Frames from some White Cardstock!! Next I Die Cut the Sunny Dies from the Panel and then backed it with some Patterned Paper!! I used Distress Oxide Ink in Wild Honey to add some dimension to the Sun and colored the cheeks with a R11 Copic Marker!! I Die Cut the Sun Ring from some White Cardstock and used Wild Honey Distress Oxide Ink to color it making sure to keep it lighter on one side for some Dimension and adhered it to the inside of the Sun Die Cut!! I Die Cut the Face from Black Cardstock and adhered it to the Sun!! I wanted some Gold Foiled Glasses so I Foiled a piece of Therm O Web Toner Sheets with some Gold Static Brutus Monroe Deco Foil and I LOVE the way they turned out!!

 I wanted to create a FUN background from behind the Sun, resembling a Shimmering Sun Set!! I used the Circle Images from the Winter Greetings Stamp Set using a combination of Distress Oxide Inks in Ripe Persimmon, Seedless Preserves and Milled Lavender!! I applied WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder to create some dimension and shine!! Then I added some Splatters using the same Ink Colors and some Black Soot Distress Paint Splatters!! I applied some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink around the Sun Die Cut and it really makes the Sun POP!! For the Sentiment I Stamped the "Warm Hugs" Sentiment with Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and Embossed it with some WoW Neutral Shimmer Embossing Powder!! I LOVE the Iridescent Shimmer as it ties all of the colors together!!

Love You with Paper Smooches!!

HELLO CRAFTY FRIENDS!! 

I'm here with Paper Smooches for the NEW February Challenge!! The theme is "LOVE" perfect for ALL of those Valentine's Day Cards you may need to create!! 

 Here's the Card I've create for this Month's 1st Challenge!! It has so many of my FAVORITE things one it all included in this one design!! I've created a Step Out so you can see how I've created it, just incase you want to create something similar for someone SPECIAL too!! 

FUN FACT: Did you know that the NEW Paper Smooches Half Moon Patterned Papers are able to used with the Therm O Web Deco Foils!!?? You heard that right!! They are printed with a Toner Ink so that means that you can use ALL of the Therm O Web Deco Foils you may have on hand and run them through your Laminating Machine with the Foil Colored side face up and create STUNNING Foiled Patterned Paper!! SWOON!! I just LOVE this Fact and it makes these Paper Smooches Patterned Paper Pads even more VERSATILE to have in your stash!! I've used the Rainbow Shattered Glass Deco Foil over the Tiny Hearts Half Moon Paper Design and the results are just Beautiful!!

You could totally leave the Paper with the White Background, but I wanted to change the color to match with the Foiling that I did, so I've used the Rina K Designs Electro Pop Neon Inks in Blaring Blue, Potent Purple & Popin Pink along with an Ink Dauber and Inked the background to coincide with the Foiling on the Heart Pattern!!

I then wanted to add some stenciling over the Background Design, so I used the Paper Smooched Heart Stencil and adhered it to the Foiled and Inked Background after I sprayed the back side of the Stencil with some Therm O Web Pixie Spray to help keep the stencil in place while I was inking!! If you haven't tried the Pixie Spray yet, its a Stenciling Game Changer!! 😉 I used the same Inks that I used for the Background, I just applied a heavier coat in order to make the hearts POP off the Background!! I then Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment "Love You" from the Paper Smooches Snowy Salutations Stamp Set to the Panel using Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and WoW Neutral Shimmer Embossing Powder!! Then I added a Splattering of some Black Soot Distress Paint just to add some Dimension!! 

I wanted to frame the Panel, so I Die Cut the Paper Smooches Fab Frames Die from some White Cardstock and then I Stitched around the Hole pattern with some Embroidery Thread that matched the Pink Rainbow Shattered Foil Hearts Color!! I did a Back-stitch so that the entire Dot Design was filed with the Stitching, creating a Stitched Frame all the way around the Fab Frame!! I LOVE the way it looks and adds to the Design of the Frame!!

Here's a Close up loo at the Panel!! Hopefully you can get a better look at how all of the Mediums tie together to create a STUNNING finish to the Design of this Card!! SWOON!! It turned out AMAZING and I KNOW the recipient is going to FEEL my LOVE some Valentine's Day!!

Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop w/ Therm O Web and Paper Smooches plus a GIVEAWAY!! =)

I'm up on the Therm O Web Blog sharing a couple Projects I've made using some Paper Smooches Products for the Spring/Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!! I just LOVE the NEW Paper Smooches Products and had to combine them with some of my older FAVORITES to create some Coffee Inspired Designs!! 

I've used Therm O Web NEW Deco Foil Metallix Gel in White Pearl that I added some Distress Oxide Spray in Spun Sugar to change the Color then applied it to the Gina K Deigns Stamp-N-Stencil Crazy Daisy Stencil for a FUN Stenciled Design!! I Die Cut the Paper Smooches Fab Frame Die from some Champagne Deco Foiled Toner Sheet and Die Cut it to create a REALLY BEAUTIFUL Framed Design!! The Flowers where stamped from the NEW Rosy Posy Stamp Set and then I Colored them with Copic Markers!! The Cozy Coffee Die was Die Cut several times and layered together to create a thicker Image!! I Die Cut the Inchies Mini Tag and added a Pink Quart Deco Foiled Heart using the Fab Frames Dies!! For a COMPLETE photo walk through of how I created this Card, please visit the BLOG!! 

For my next Card I HAD to make the SWEET Bear Fairy the with her Coffee Cut the Focal of the Design!! How SWEET is this!!?? I again created a Metallix Gel Stenciled Design using the same White Pearl that I added Spun Sugar Distress Oxide Spray to get the BEAUTIFUL Soft Pink Color!! Then I used Copic Markers to color the Images!! I Deco Foiled the Toner Sheets using Champagne, Pink Quartz and Turquoise Deco Foil for the Scalloped Frame and the Coffee Cup that I Die Cut using the Paper Smooches House Plant Die!! Some Tonic Studios Glitter Pen was added to the Wings of both the Bears Wings and Skirt and the Bees Wings then Nuvo Drops in Black, Sunset Glitter and Morning Dew were added to the Bears Nose, Crown, Star Wand and Star on the Cup and the Bears Wings and Skirt and the Bees Wings!! White Gel Pen Details finish off the Design!!
