HELLO CRAFTY FRIENDS!!
I'm here with Day 2 of the
Today we're showcasing the NEW "Summer Moments" Stamp Set + the coordinating Summer Moments Die Set and the "Newton's Seashell" Stamp Set + the coordinating Newton's Seashell Die Set + the Retro Sun & Palms Stencil!!
For my first Card I wanted to create a Scene at the Top of the Card leaving the rest of the Card White!! I LOVE how it turned out and the Color Combo of Coral Red with Turquoise!! Two of my FAVORITE Summer Colors and Gemstones!!
I Stamped and Embossed the Images from the NEW "Summer Moments" Stamp Set then I Colored with Copic Markers!!
Coral Red: R27, R22 & R11
Turquoise: BG45, BG10 & BG000 Skin: E00, E11 & E13
Shells & Book Pages: E81 & E84 White: C3, C1 & C00
Then I used the NEW Summer Moments Die Set to Die Cut ALL of the Images out!!
I Die Cut a Frames and Flags Scalloped Rectangle Die from some Doodlebug Patterned Paper and then Die Cut a Stitched Rectangle for my Card Panel!! I Inked with Salvaged Patina and Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Inks and added some Splatters for the Sand!! I adhered my Images both straight onto the Card Panel and with Foam Tape for some Dimension to the Scene!! Then I added some Shimmer Pen and a Red Clay Heart to finish off the Design!! For my second Card I created a FUN Beach Scene combining both the NEW "Newton's Seashell" Stamp Set and the NEW Retro Sun & Palm Stencil Set!! SWOON!! Then I used the NEW Summer Moments Die Set to Die Cut ALL of the Images out!!
I wanted to show that you can use the NEW Stencil Set separately to create Scenes for your Images too and I LOVE how it turned out!! I Die Cut the Framework Die from some Kraft Cardstock and Inked the edges with both Vintage Photo and Black Soot Distress Oxide Ink!! Then I Started on my Card Panel!! I used the Land Border Dies to create my Beach Hill!!
TIP: You don't always have to use the Border Dies to cut an ENTIRE Border!! Try using just a Portion of the Border Die to create a FUN Element to add to your Scene!!
I Masked it and Inked with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink, then added some Black Soot and Picket Fence Distress Paint Splatters along with some Vintage Photo Distress Oxide Ink Splatters for the texture of real Sand!! I Stamped and Embossed a Sentiment (SNEAK PEEK) from a Set coming later this Week!!
For the Sky I Masked again and inked with Salvaged Patina Distress Oxide Ink!! Then I Sprayed the back of my Stencil with Pixie Spray and adhered it where I wanted it to be and pressed it firmly into place!! I used Purple Tape to Mask off the Palm Trunks and Inked with Gathered Twigs and Black Soot Distress Oxide Inks!! Then I removed the Purple Tape and Inked the Palms with Peeled Paint and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Inks adding just a touch of Black Soot to the Centers for some Dimension!! SQUEAL!! I LOVE the way they turned out!! I Removed the Stencil and then added the Images that I colored with Copic Markers!!
Kitten: C8, C6, C3 & C0
