Hello!!
I'm so excited about today's preview!! I've got two projects to share using the two final sets being released for the October Release over on The Craft's Meow Blog!! They will all be available in the store on October 21st!! First up a card using Holiday Poinsettia!!
I started by stamping my Poinsettia Image onto ultra thick vellum by Bazzill!! I then stamped onto some patterned paper by My Mind's Eye and then fussy cut them out!! I layered just the front petals to give the Poinsettia a nice 3-D look!! I added a Vintage Gold Button for the center and I LOVE the way it looks!! I decided to emboss the sentiment onto the vellum frame using some Zing Black Glitter Embossing powder and in real life this powder is just AWESOME!! I added some pearl flat sequins for some added shine to balance it out and then a May Arts Burlap Twine bundle behind the Poinsettia Flower and my main card panel was finished!! I backed it with a kraft card stock and then added foam squares to add it to my oatmeal card stock card base!!
For my second card I thought it would be FUN to use just the sentiment from Inside Christmas to create a FUN card!! I stamped the Season's Greetings Sentiment on a diagonal using some of the New Luxe inks in Teal Zeal, Bahama Blue and Danube Blue!!
I LOVE how crisp and clear they stamp and the beautiful colors!! I then wanted to add a die cut snowflake cluster and I added two of the same die cut shapes one out of white and one in a teal color that matched the ink!! I then inked some card stock with the Danube Blue Ink to die cut the center snowflake image so it would be an exact match to the stamping and added a large vintage button to the center to finish it off!! I really like how FUN, but clean this card design turned out and it really shows how versatile even just one sentiment stamp can be!! Here is my finished card!!
I hope you enjoyed my cards for today and that you'll come back tomorrow for the Blog Hop!!
Don't forget to leave a comment on The Craft's Meow Blog for your chance to win one of today's Previewed Stamp Sets!!

LARISSA ;)
Oh my goodness Larissa!! I think this is the PRETTIEST poinsettia card I've ever seen...and it's polka dot too!!!
ReplyDeleteJust LOVE your poinsettia paper-pieced, Larissa! Such a striking card!
ReplyDeleteLarissa, lovin' your cards, especially the first one!
ReplyDeleteWonderful cards! I especially loved the poinsettia card!
ReplyDeleteThe 3D effect on both cards is wonderful. I really like the paper piecing on the Poinsettia and your snowflake to match the stamping colors is a clever idea. Great job!

Oooo! That poinsettia has such fabulous dimension! LOVE! And I adore the way you've used that sentiment over and over at an angle. Too fun!
