March Newton's Nook Designs Release ~ Farm Yard Friends!! =)

HELLO!!

It time for the March Newton's Nook Designs Release!! I'm SO EXCITED to share the New Stamp Sets with you for this Month!! You're going to LOVE them!! Today we are showcasing the New Set called "Farm Yard Friends"!!

SQUEAL!! I LOVE ALL of the New Sets, but this set is going to hold a VERY Special Place in my Heart because we Live on a Farm so I already KNOW I will be using this for EVERYTHING!!  =) In fact, the Card I've made for today; I've made for my Mother's Birthday next month!! I just LOVE how it turned out and I KNOW she will LOVE it too!!

 

 I started by Die Cutting the Barn Shape It Series Card Die from Paper Trey Ink only instead of cutting it from a Folded piece of cardstock to create a Folded Card Base, I chose just to cut it once so I could make it the Die Cut Center Piece for my Card!! I used some Wood Grain Patterned Papers!! I then took the New Lawn Fawn Picket Fence Die Set and Die Cut the Fence and the decorative Stitched Center Strips that come along with it and I used them to finish off the Fence as they were intended and then I also used them for the X's on my Barn Doors and I REALLY LOVE how they look!! I also took a Stitched Star Die from Lil' Inker Designs and created a Hay Loft Window and then I added some Patterned Paper for alittle contrast and FUN!! I stamped the Chicken Image and used Copic Markers and colored in the Image!! Then to add some Sparkle I used a Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker to the Head and the Wings!! I stamped and colored all of the other Main Images in the set using Copic Markers and then I Fussy Cut them out and I placed the Cow, Pig and the Sheep inside the Bard Doors so they look like they are ready to SUPRISE her when she opens up the Doors!! =) I also thought it would be FUN to add the CUTE Little Spider Web and the Spider from the Newton's Perfect Pumpkin Stamp Set as a SPECIAL Design!! One of my Mother's Favorite Stories/Movies to Read/Watch for/with us when we were Little was Charlotte's Web!!

So this little touch will hold a Secret Little Message for her and I KNOW she will understand EXACTLY what it is supposed to stand for too!! =) Then I also stamped the Happy Birthday Greeting!! I Embossed all of the Images using Ranger Ultra Clear Embossing Powder over Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink!! Then I added more of the Wink of Stella Clear Glitter Marker over the rest of the Images in certain areas for some added Sparkle and Interest!!

 I also stamped the Grass and the Clover Images from the Chicken Scratches Stamp Set and Fussy Cut them out to add to my Scene!! I wanted to add some extra Details to the Background and the Ground of my Card so I used the Chicken Wire, Chicken Feet and the Pebbles/Seeds from the same Chicken Scratches Stamp Set and I just LOVE how these two sets work together!! =) The Clouds were Die Cut from the New Mama Elephant Stitched Sky Die Set!!
