Hello!!
SQUEAL!!
I'm here with Day 1 of the Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release!!
Today we're showcasing the NEW
“Christmas Trimmings” Stamp Set + "Holiday Lights" Stamp Set + coordinating Die Sets and the NEW Ornaments & Light Strings Stencils!!
Let's take a look at the AWESOME New Products!!
For my first Card I've used the NEW "Christmas Trimmings" Stamp Set!! I LOVE these SWEET Images!! I wanted to create a scene looking through a Window!! So I Masked off a Circle using Purple Masking Tape and Inked it using Tumbled Glass and Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Inks!!
I wanted a Snowflake Background so I used the NND Snowfall Stencil along with some Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Ink!! I Stamped and Embossed the Images and used Copic Markers to color them in!! I added some Tonic Studios Shimmer Pen to the Star, Ornaments and then added some Tonic Studios Morning Dew Nuvo Drops to add some Dimension!! I added some Pretty Pink Posh Iridescent Jewels to a few of the Snowflake Centers and then Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment using Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and WoW Clear Detail Embossing Powder!! I framed it using the Frames & Flags Die Set and I LOVE the way it turned out!!
My next Card showcases the NEW "Holiday Lights" Stamp Set!! These Images are SO FUN and the possibilities are ENDLESS!! I wanted to create a FUN Trimming Scene so I Started by Die Cutting 10 Branches from the Pines & Holly Die Set. I used Distress Inks in Peeled Paint and Pine Needles to Ink them and then I used 5 for the top and 5 for the bottom placing them and trimming off any of the over hanging pieces!!
I Stamped and Embossed 6 of the Smaller Lights from the Set and Colored them with Copic Markers!! I Die Cut them out using the coordinating Dies and then Stamped and Embossed the Flashing Images!! I also Inked the center of the Panel with some Distress Oxide Ink in Tumbled Glass and then Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment form the Set in the Center!! I used Distress Inks to ink around the Bulbs to make them look as if they're GLOWING and then used some TE Circle Foam Dots to POP them up off the Card!! To finish them off I added some Tonic Studios Shimmer Pen and then added some Tonic Studios Morning Dew Nuvo Drops over then Bulbs to make them more dimensional and shiny!! I LOVE the way it turned out!!
For my last Card I used the NEW Ornaments Stencil!! SWOON!! This is SO BEAUTIFUL and there are SO MANY ways to use this AMAZING Stencil!! I wanted to make my panel look like a Collection of Vintage Ornaments!! My Mother has the ones that my Grandma put on the Tree every year when I was little and I still just LOVE looking at them as the detail and beauty is just Mind Blowing!! I Started by using spraying the back side of the Stencil with some Therm O Web Pixie Spray!! Then I adhered it to my Card Panel!! I Stenciled the Design with some Therm O Web Transfer Gel using the Stencil Pal and then I removed the stencil and set the panel aside to Dry!!
After the Gel was Dry I placed a piece of the NEW Therm O Web and Brutus Monroe Gold Static Deco Foil over the Card Panel and ran it through my Laminating Machine!! Then SWOON in DELIGHT when you reveal the Foiled Panel!! I just LOVE the way it looks!! (HINT HINT DON'T throw that Negative Foil Piece away!! I will show what to do with that during my Newton's Nook Designs EXCLUSIVE email Feature coming up on the 22nd) If you're not signed up for the NND Email you can sign up HERE!! You'll be INSPIRED by an EXCLUSIVE Project each Week!!
Then I Inked over the different Ornaments using Distress Oxide Inks in Candied Apple, Peacock Feathers, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed and Peeled Paint with an Ink Dauber!! I then took a paper towel and just ran it over the ornaments to remove any of the excess ink that was on top of the Foil!! I added some Black Soot Distress Paint Splatters and then Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment from the NEW "Christmas Trimmings" Stamp Set!! I used the Circle and the Frame from the Frames Squared Die Set!! Inking the edges and another Circle Die with some Peacock Feathers Distress Ink to make them POP off the Card Panel!! Foam Tape was added to the Sentiment Frame and then I added a Few Sequins and Jewels to finish off the Design!! I LOVE the way it turned out and I know the recipient will too!!
