Hello!!
My post is going up alittle later than I would have liked, but some things in life can't be helped!!
I had mentioned yesterday that I was going to share an announcement and while I was hurrying to get my post up I accidentally wrote the wrong date!! I will be making my announcement on the 18th of December so SORRY for the error, but I PROMISE it will be worth the wait!! =)
I wanted to play along with a couple challenges and use some of my NEW Favorite Stamp Sets from
Newton's Nook Designs!!
OMG~if you haven't checked them out you have to RUN not WALK and go see their AMAZING Stamps!! They have the CUTEST little images and I just can't get enough!!
I even noticed that
Kristina Werner used the New
Holiday Mischief Stamp Set for her
19th Day of Holiday Card Series Videos!! She also asked
Simon Says Stamp to carry them in the store so they can also be found there!! Anyway, I started with this sketch from the
Retro Sketches Challenge Blog!!
Then I decided to use the FUN Color Palette from the
Colour Q Challenge Blog!!
Then the New Challenge over on the
Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge Blog is
"Let It Snow", so I will be linking it up for that challenge too!!
Here is my CUTE Card!! =)
I started by Die Cutting a Lil' Inker Design Stitched Circle into the right hand corner of my Card Panel!! I then took some Music Paper from Cosmo Cricket and filled in the circle for my background!! I LOVED the pattern and thought it was GREAT for the feel of my card!! I then took some white cardstock and cut a slight curve and added some Dry Distress Rock Candy Glitter for my snow and added it the bottom of the Music paper!! I then stamped my Wagon image from the
"Wagon of Wishes" Stamp Set and then I stamped it again onto some Red cardstock twice and fussy cut them out!! I added the wheels and the handle both stamped and cut from black patterned paper!! Then I stamped my snowman couple image from the
"Frozen Friends" Stamp Set and then stamped them again twice onto some Tim Holtz Distressed Water Color Paper!! (I LOVE this Paper) I took my silver Faber-Castell Aquarelle Water Color Pencil and I added some shadows so my snowmen would look more dimensional!! I then stamped them onto some Green Patterned papers so I could have the Scarves and Buttons in two different green colors and fussy cut them out!! I just water colored the Carrot Noses using my Orange water color Pencil and cut them out too!! Before I attach my pieces I always take a Black Soot Distress Marker and go around the edges of my images so they have a finished edge to them!! Then I glued everything together and added the Images to my card base using some Foam Tape!! I wanted to add some Snowflakes so I decided to white emboss some of the snowflakes from the
"Frozen Friends" and
"Snow Day" Stamp Sets!! I then added some Dry Distress Rock Candy Glitter just the centers of each of the snowflakes for even more Sparkle!! I Stamped my Sentiment in both Black and white ink for a FUN Dimensional look and then I embossed the word Happy with some Green Stampendous Embossing Powder and I LOVE the way it looks!! I attached my card Panel to a white card base using foam tape and my card was finished!! See what I mean about these Images!!
SWOON~I'm in LOVE!! =)
Anyway, if your in need of some last minute Holiday Inspiration I hope you'll check out all of the other Entries for these challenges because they are AMAZING!! =)
THANKS so much for stopping by and I hope you have a
Fabulous Weekend!!
