I want share another card I made for the JustRite Friday Challenge #098-"Make It Manly"!! You should go to the JustRite Blog for AMAZING Inspiration if you've never visited you'll be glad you did!! I wanted to use some of the NEW Stamps I got for this challenge and 'boy' do I LOVE the results!! I wanted to make a card for my Good Friend who just had a baby Boy!! I know she will ENJOY this card, especially because this is her first son after having 2 girls!! I used the Pattern Basics Borders, All Boy and Celebration Labels One and Bracket Borders One Stamp Sets along with the Coordinating Spellbinders Dies!!
I knew I wanted to create a patterned paper for my background so I started by stamping the Harlequin Bold border stamp onto some blue cardstock!! I stamped it with versa Mark and embossed it with some blue embossing powder from Stampendous!! I then stamped over the top of that with the Harlequin Dash Border stamp and embossed it with brown embossing powder again from Stampendous!! I LOVE the two tone look!! I started out wanting a tone on tone look, but after seeing it I decided I wanted a more two toned look so I ended up adding some gathered twigs distress ink to make the blue cardstock darker!! I LOVE that you can change something with just alittle ink instead of having to start all over!! =) I then stamped the Large Label onto a coordinating Die Cut from kraft cadstock and Die Cut a smaller cream label and stamped the Boat Image from the All Boy Stamp Set!! I LOVE this image and it is going to get ALOT of use!! =) I wanted a pretty simple look so I used brown ink and copics to color the Blue areas!! I Then added some wood pattern paper to the bottom and a FUN Brown Button Border along with some May Arts Burlap Twine and a Bow that I added a small metal hand print too!! I LOVE the way it turned out and I know she will LOVE it!!
THANKS SO MUCH for stopping by today and have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)
