Veggie Fun with Newton's Nook Designs!! =)

Hello!!
I'm up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today!! =) I've made two cards using the New Vegetable Medley Stamp Set and I just CAN'T Get enough of it!!

I just LOVE the Sweet Images and that there are SO MANY Uses for them especially this time of year!! I was thinking how FUN its going to be to make Little Tags too, once the Veggies are ready to Pick!! I can add them to the Bundles I give away and I just KNOW they'll get LOTS of SMILES!! =)
For Today's Cards I wanted to make a Shaker and showcase the SWEET Sentiment "You Make My Heart Skip a BEET"!! I just LOVE it an thought it would be FUN to make a Heart Shaped Shaker and I Stamped and Embossed all of the Images onto a Distress WaterColor Paper for my Card Base with the Beet Images and then added some of the Sweet Music Note Clusters and a Pair of Head Phones!!  I used my Distress Markers to Water Color the Images and I just LOVE the Combo of Mahogany, Seedless Preserves and Worn Lipstick!! It is such a Vibrant and Realistic Color to the Real Beets!! =) I then used Shabby Shutters and Cracked Pistachio with alittle Moss for the Dark Hightlights!! I LOVE this color that I got!! Then I used Pumice Stone for the Background and I just LOVE the way it turned out!! I used the Largest Heart Die from the Memory Box Heart Dies Set to create my Shaker Window and then A few Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and my Card was done!! =)

For my Second Card I wanted to Play around with some Masking!! =) I took the Newest Mask-erade Online Card Class and I was SO BUSY during the Class that I didn't get to Play Along, but I wanted to try some of the FUN Techniques so I thought it would be FUN to create a Row of several Vegetables for my Card Front!! I Stamped and Created Masks from some Post-It Tape and then I Stamped and Embossed my Row of Veggies!! I had to practice several times before I got the Perfect Combo and I really thing it turned out Neat!!?? I wanted to create some depth so I opted to Fussy Cut around the Images and then add them to another Card Base that I Die Cut using an MFT Stitched Rounded Rectangle Die!! I then Stamped and Embossed the Let's Veg Out Sentiment and then I created the Stitched Card Base with the Largest Lil' Inker Designs Stitched Rounded Rectangle Die!! I used some FUN Stripped Paper from Crate Paper and I just LOVE the way it makes the Veggies POP!!

Welcome to the Second Day of the Newton's Nook Designs May Release!! I'm in LOVE with this Months Release and today we are show casing the New “Vegetable Medley” Stamp Set!!

I went on Pinterest to look for some FUN Color Inspiration!! I came across the Photo above and KNEW this was the direction I wanted to go!! I wanted to make a Shaker Card and I LOVE the way it turned out!! =) I Stamped and Embossed the Images using WOW Clear Detail Embossing Powder onto some Distress Water Color Paper!! I then used my Distress Markers to Water Color ALL of the Images!! I then Created a Circle Window using a MFT Circle Die onto a Piece of MFT Smooth White Cardstock!! I Stamped and Embossed my Sentiment using the same WOW Clear Detail Embossing Powder and then Stamped the Heart using some Distress Marker Water Color!!  outlined the Heart using a .3mm Copic Liner Marker and then added some Foam Tape to create a Window Shaker!! I used SEVERAL different Sequins from Pretty Pink Posh, Neat & Tangled and Simon Says Stamp!! I added it to a Kraft Card Base and my Shaker Card was done!! =)

For my Second Projects today I thought it would be SO FUN to create some FUN GardenWands/Stakes!! I LOVE to give Garden Seeds for May Day or even just because, and I though these would be a FUN way to do that!! I die cut a FUN Pencil Topper Label Card using a Die from Taylored Expressions!! I die cut it s the top wouldn't cut all the way and it would create a Folded Card!! I LOVE that this die has the space for whatever you want to add for the Stick/Base!! I used some Decorative Straws!! =) Then I die cut some Small Stitched Circles using a WPlus9 Die from some Distress Water Color Paper!! I Stamped and Embossed the Images and then used my Distress Markers to Water Color them!! =) I added them to the Folded Bases and added the Decorative Straws!! Then I tied on some Tulle Ribbon and some May Arts Burlap Twine Ribbon and a Few Buttons and my Garden Wands/Stakes are finished to give however you choose!! =) SQUEAL!! These just make me HAPPY!!  =)
