Welcome to the 7th Annual Deck the Halls with Inky Paws Blog Hop for Newton's Nook Designs!! I'm SO EXCITED to be here with you today to share some AMAZING Inspiration for the FAST approaching Holidays!! I still can't believe December is already here, where did the Year go!!?? I'm sure if you are hopping along today, you're like me and ENJOY making the Holidays SPECIAL for those you CHERISH!! That's why creating handmade Cards and Gifts are so important!! Today I have a STUNNING Scene Card to share, plus a BONUS Card created by Greyson my 6 yr. old for his FAVORITE 1st Grade Teacher Mrs. Peterson!! I LOVE getting him involved with his Teacher Gifts every year and I'm not sure who ENJOYS it more!!?? I can promise you though his Teacher will feel pretty SPECIAL when he gives her his handmade Card/Gift in a couple Weeks!! 

Let's get started!! 

I wanted to create a STUNNING Scene Card!! I've ALWAYS LOVED Cardinals, but especially during the Holidays!! I started by using some Therm O Web Deco Foil Gel and the NND Holiday Foliage Stencil on my Cardbase!! After the Gel was dry, I Inked the background with Distress Oxide Inks in Iced Spruce, Peeled Paint and Lucky Clover!! Water Droplets were added for some texture!! Then I Foiled it using some Deco Foil in Jade!! I then added some Distress Paint Splatters in Picket Fence, Brass and Lucky Clover!! 

Next I worked on my Scene!! I started by Die Cutting the Stitched Panel from the NND Frames & Flags Die Set!! I then Stamped and Embossed the Cardinal Image and the Berry Images from the Winter Birds Stamp Set!! I colored them using Copic Markers and the Die Cut them out using the coordinating Winter Birds Die Set!! 

I used the Forest Scene Builder Die Set to create the Branches Die Cutting them from some TE Toffee Cardstock!! I inked the edges using some Gathered Twigs Distress Oxide Ink!! I wanted the look of Snow so I used the Lawn Fawn Embossing Pen and added some WoW Embossing Powder in Vintage Champagne!! It's a White Embossing Powder with Gold Glitter and I LOVE the addition of the Gold Glitter in real life!! I Die Cut several of the Pine Cone Images from the NND Pines & Holly Die Set from some TE Chocolate Truffle Cardstock and adhered them to some TE Toffee Cardstock!! Then fussy cut them out and inked them with some Gathered Twigs DOI!! I added the same Embossing Powder to resemble Snow, and also added some Liquid Adhesive and some Rock Candy Distress Glitter for some Sparkle and Texture!! 

I Die Cut several of the Pines also from the NND Pines & Holly Die Set from some TE Cilantro Cardstock and inked it them using Distress Oxide Inks in Gathered Twigs, Pine Needles and Peeled Paint!! I added the same Embossing Powder and then adhered everything together to create my Scene!! I really LOVE the way it turned out and I hope I've inspired you to look through your stash and see what Images you can combine with some of your FAVORITE Scene Building Dies to create some STUNNING Winter Scenes!!

Here's Greyson's Card!! He LOVES Rainbow and Colored the SWEET Mice from the NND Naughty or Mice Stamp Set using Copic Markers!! Then we worked on the Background!! He wanted Rainbow Snowflakes!! So we used the NND Snowfall Stencil along with some Therm O Web Pixie Spray to keep it in place!! He used Distress Inks in Candied Apple, Carved Pumpkin, Mustard Seed, Peeled Paint, Faded Jeans and Dusty Concord along with an Ink Dauber!! We added some WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder over the Snowflakes and heat set!! Then we covered the background with Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans Distress Oxide Inks, added some Water Droplets and then added some Snowflake Sequins, Iridescent Jewels and Blizzard Glitter Nuvo Drops to finish off the Background!! 

I helped him line up the coordinating NND Naughty or Mice Dies and we used Therm O Web Purple Tape to keep them in place!! After Die Cutting them out we added some White & Black Gel Pen for some Freckles and the Nose and I added some High Lights to the Images!! We also added some Morning Dew and Blizzard Glitter Nuvo Drops for some Sparkle and Dimension!! 

We used the NND Speech Bubbles Die to Stamp and Emboss the Sentiment with WoW White Embossing Powder and added it to the Card using 3D Foam Squares!! I'm pretty certain his Teacher is going to CHERISH this handmade Card for years to come!!

         I'm here with Day 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs Holiday Release!! 

       Today we're showcasing the NEW  

“Festive Fawns” Stamp Set + coordinating Die Sets!! 

Let's take a look at the AWESOME New Products!!

I started by Stamping and Embossing the Images from the NEW  

“Festive Fawns” Stamp Set, then I colored in the Images with Copic Markers!! I added some Tonic Studios Shimmer Pen to the Berries, Bow, Scarf, Hat Band, Holly & Berries and the Cardinal!! Then I added some Tonic Studios Morning Dew Nuvo Drops to the Berries, Bow, Carrot Nose, Buttons, Hooves, and the Beak on the Cardinal for some Dimension and Shine!! I wanted to create a BRIGHT and HAPPY Scene so I used Distress Oxide Inks in Tumbled Glass, Faded Jeans and Chipped Sapphire to Ink the background!! I Die Cut a Circle Mask for the Moon and after Inking the Background I removed the Mask and Blended the Moon in so it wasn't so stark!! I added some water splatters to resemble Snowflakes falling!! 

I Die Cut some of the Aspen Tree Die Cuts from the NND Forest Scene Builder Dies and Inked them with some Distress Ink in Hickory Smoke to add some Shading!! Then I Die Cut the Snow Hill from the NND Land Borders Die again Inking with Hickory Smoke Distress Ink for the shading and to add some Shadows for the Images!! I adhered the Images using some Therm O Web 3D Foam Squares and then added a few Hero Arts Snowflake Sequins with some Carnation Pretty Pink Posh Jewels to the centers!! I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment in the center of the Moon and added the Cardinal to the Sentiment!! I LOVE the way it turned out and I HOPE you are as SMITTEN with this NEW Stamp Set as I am!!??

.       Today we're showcasing the NEW  

"Spring Pile Up" Stamp Set + "Puppy Pals" Stamp Set + coordinating Die Sets!! 

Let's take a look at the AWESOME New Products!!

For my Card I wanted to create a FUN Spring Pile adding Newton to the Mix!! 

The Newton Image along with the Chicks are from the NEW "Newton's Peeps" Stamp Set showcased yesterday!! I Stamped and Embossed ALL of the Images, colored them with Copic Markers and then Die Cut them out using the coordinating Dies!! For my Background I used the NEW "Bohke" Stencil Set along with Tumbled Glass and Cracked Pistachio Distress Inks!! Its subtle, but I LOVE the way it looks in real life!! I used the NND Land Borders Die Set for the Grass and Distress Inks in Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint!! For the Sentiment I Stamped and Embossed it masking parts of it and I used WoW Glitter Embossing Powder for some Sparkle!! 

I LOVE this SWEET Image and I wanted to create a Scene!! Greyson has the SWEETEST Lil' Friend named Charlotte (they've been Friends since Birth) who's birthday is coming up and he wanted a Card for her!! 

So he helped me come up with the Design concept, and he just let me make it!! I Stamped and Embossed the Image, colored it with Copic Markers and used the coordinating Die to Die Cut it out!! I also used the NND Forest Scene Building Die Set for the Birch Trees and Inked them using some Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and the Blue Bird is also from the Set, using Copic Markers to Color it in!!  I used the NND Land Borders Die Set for the Grass and Distress Inks in Shabby Shutters and Peeled Paint!! A few Heart Embellishments from Honey Bee Stamps finishes it off!! I also had to add Then I backed the Panel using the NND Frameworks Die Set!! I LOVE the way it turned out and I think Charlotte is going to CHERISH it!!

Newton's Nook Designs October Release ~ Winter Memories, Forest Scene Builder, Holiday Greetings and 3 New Stencils!! =)

         I'm here with Day 1 of the 

            Newton's Nook Designs October Release 2018!! 

.                            Today we're showcasing the NEW  

"Winter Memories" Stamp Set + coordinating "Winter Memories" Dies, "Forest Scene Builder" Dies and "Holiday Greetings" Dies and Three NEW Stencils!!

                  Let's take a look at the AWESOME New Products!!

So I have a SNEAK PEEK for you today!!  

(Shhhh... the ornament shape is a die set that we'll reveal later this week!!) 

My inspiration for this Card was the Vintage Hand Blown Ornaments that my Grandma has with Glitter Silhouette Images on them!! So when I saw this Set I KNEW I wanted to recreate one for my Card!! I started with my Background and used Distress Inks to Ink it!! 

I used Cracked Pistachio, Evergreen Bough, Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Inks!! Then added Water Droplets to add some texture!!

New I used the NEW Petite Snow Stencil and my White Ink with an Ink Dauber and used only the Circle Snow Images Randomly an my Cardbase!! Then I added White Embossing Powder and Heat Set it!! As Soon as was Set, I sprinkled on the Clear Glitter Embossing Powder and heat it to get a thicker White Embossed look with Glitter!! In real life it SO BEAUTIFUL!! 

I Stamped and Embossed the Sihlouette Image onto the Ornament and repeated the same Embossing Powder trick!! Its just AMAZING how it Sparkles, but NO Glitter Mess!! I also Stamped several Snowflakes using the Snowflake Images from the Set and Embossed them in the same way!! Then I used Chipped Sapphire and Black Soot Distress Ink to Stamp and Emboss the Sentiment!!

For the Finishing Details I added the Pine and Holly Leaves that were Die Cut from the Pines & Holly Die Set to add them along the top of the Ornament!! I used some Therm O Web Toner Sheet to Foil using Silver Deco Foil and Die Cut it for the Ornament Topper!! Then used some We R Memory Keepers Wire and Wire Jig to create the Ornament Hook!! I layered it all together on a Framework Die Set postage edged panel cut from some Reverse Confetti Cardstock!!
