You Brighten my Life w/ Newton's Nook Designs!!

Hello Crafty Friends!!

I'm up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today with a BEAUTIFUL Spring Card using the Floral Delights Stamp Set with Simple Ink Blending!! This is a Technique you will definitely want to try!!! SWOON!! Daisies are one of my FAVORITE Flowers!! There are so many FUN Ways to use this BEAUTIFUL Stamp Set to create Cards for ANY Occasion and I hope my Card INSPIRE you!! 

I Started out by Stamping the tall Daisy image from the Floral Delights Stamp Set several times onto White Cardstock, Embossing the Blooms with WoW Bright White Embossing Powder!!
Here's a Close-up look at the Embossed Daisies!! 

Then I used various Distress Oxide Inks and some Small Blending Brushes to add color to the blooms. You don't have to be perfect with the color application, just blend around the outlines to give a fun halo effect.

Isn't it gorgeous how the White Embossed outlines POP once the Color is added over the top!!?? SWOON!! Then I rubbed over the Embossed Images to remove any excess Ink that may have been left behind on the Embossing!! Then I added some Black Soot Distress Paint Splatters for even more Texture!! 

Next I added some Liquid Glue to the Daisies Centers and added some WoW Embossing Sparkling Sugar Sparkles!! This is such a BEAUTIFUL way to add some Sparkle and Texture and and I LOVE the Iridescent Sparkle!! 

Next I Die Cut the Pretty Panel out using the Basic Frames Die Set to give it a fun Stitched Edge!! Then I layered it over a FUN Pink Polka Dot Paper from our Pastel Basics Paper Pad that was cut out using our Frames & Tags Die Set to give it the Zig Zag Edge!! 

Last I added the sentiment from our Daffodils Stamp Set onto a circle cut out with our Circle Frames Die Set!! 

So there you have it, a BEAUTIFUL Spring Card using several of my FAVORITE Newton's Nook Designs Products!! I LOVE how BEAUTIFUL the Dasies turned out!! I hope this has you as EXCITED about those First Spring Blooms as I am!!??

Newton's Nook Designs February Release ~ Newton's Rainy Day Trio & Daffodils!!

HELLO CRAFTY FRIENDS!! 

I'm here with Day 4 of the 

Newton's Nook Designs February Release 2021!! 

Today we're showcasing the NEW "Newton’s Rainy Day Trio" Stamp Set + the coordinating Newton's Rainy Day Die Set and the "Daffodils" Stamp Set + the coordinating Daffodils Die Set!! 

Let's take a look at the AWESOME New Set!!

For my First Card I'm using the NEW "Newton’s Rainy Day Trio" Stamp Set!! I LOVE this SWEET Image and there are so many ways it can be used!! I Started by Stamping and Embossing the Image with Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder and then coloring it in with Copic Markers!! 

Kittens: E40, E43, E44 & E47    Cheeks and Inside of Ears: R11    Raincoats: Y11, Y15 & YR23    Red: R14, R37 & R39     Brown: E43, E44 & E47    Grey: W0, W3 

Once colored I Die Cut the Image out using the coordinating Newton's Rainy Day Die Set and then added some White and Black Gel Pen Details to finish off the Design!! I also added some Tonic Studios Shimmer Pen to the Umbrellas and Rain Boots for some added Sparkle and I added some Midas Touch Shimmer Pen to the Raincoats!! SWOON!! Sparkle adds even more dimension to the Images!!

 For the Card Panel I Started by Masking off the Ground with some Purple Tape and Inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink and then I inked the Sky with Hickory Smoke Distress Oxide Ink!! I Sprayed the back of the Raindrops Stencil with some Therm O Web Pixie Spray and adhered it over the Grey Sky and Inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink!! I LOVE the Way this turned out!! It's a Gloomy Sky, but with the Rain Drops comes a little Brightness!! Then I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment using some Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder!! 

I Die Cut the Frames & Flags Scalloped Frame from some Black Text Patterned Paper and then adhered the Card Panel to the Frame!! I adhered the Image to the Panel using Foam Tape just for the top part of the Image and using Ultra Bond Adhesive for the bottom of the Image!! Then I added a few Iridescent Jewels to finish off the Design!! 

For my Second Card I Stamped and Embossed the NEW Daffodils Image several times onto my Stitched Rectangle Card Panel using WoW Clear Embossing Ink and WoW Bright White Embossing Powder!! 

Then I Inked with Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide Ink over the Embossed Daffodils adding more Ink on to the center of the Daffodils!! After applying the Ink I took a Dry Cloth and burnished any of the excess Ink off of the White Embossing to help make the White Embossing POP!! 

SWOON!! I really LOVE the way this turned out!! 

I added some Black Soot Distress Paint Splatters and then some Sunshine Glitter Nuvo Drops to the Stamen of the Daffodils for some added Sparkle and Texture!! For the Sentiment I Stamped and Embossed it onto a Banner Trio Die with Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and WoW Clear Gloss Embossing Powder!!  

To finish off the Design I Adhered the Card Panel to a Striped Frames & Flags Scalloped Frame!! Then I adhered the Banner Trio Embossed Sentiment with some Foam Tape!! Then I adhered the Panel to the A2 Cardbase using Foam Tape!! I paired it with a SSS Metallic Gold A2 Envelope!! I LOVE this Design and I can't wait to recreate it using different Colors and changing out the Sentiments for different occasions!! It'd make the PERFECT Gift Card Set don't you think!!??
