Raindrops Stencil and Petite Flowers Stencil by Newton's Nook Designs
How FUN are these NEW Sets!!?? I'm just in LOVE and here's what I've Created!!
You're Some Bunny Special by Larissa Heskett for Newton's Nook Designs using Hop into Spring, Frames and Flags, Land Borders, Plaid Layering and Argyle Layering Stencils #newtonsnook #newtonsnookdesigns #hopintospring #layeringstencils
 I Started by Stamping and Embossing the Image onto some Distress Watercolor Cardstock!! I used Copic Markers to color the Image in using (Bunny: E40, E42, E44 & E47  Cheeks and Inside of Ears: R11  Flowers: Y00, Y11 & YR23  R43, R46 & R89  R00, R11 & R43   Leaves: YG61, YG63 & YG67  Watering Can: N0, N2, N4 & N8)
After Coloring I Die Cut the Image out using the coordinating Dies!! I then created the Panel Die Cutting it from some Distress Watercolor Paper using the Frames & Flags Die Set and Inked the Sky using some Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink!! I added some Water Splatters to add some Texture and set it aside to dry!! I Die Cut some Grass using the same Frames and Flags Die and the Land Borders Die and Inked it using Peeled Paint and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide Inks!! Then I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment and added the Image using Foam Tape!! A few Pretty Pink Posh Silver Jewel's were added for some Sparkle!!

Then I created the Background Panel!! I wanted a FUN Plaid Paper so I created my own using the NND Plaid Stencil Set and Argyle Stencil Set!! I used Mustard Seed Distress Ink first along with the Plaid Stencil #1 and an Ink Dauber, then I used Festive Berries Distress Ink along with the Plaid Stencil #2!! I wanted to add in some Coral so I lined up the Plaid Stencil #1 and applied some Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide Ink!! Again make sure you Pounce as to not mix the Inks!! Next I Inked with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide Ink along with the Argyle #1 Stencil!! Make sure to Pounce when applying this layer as the Inks will blend together if you don't!! For the last layer I applied the Silver Glitz Glitter Gel through the Argyle Stencil #2 using a Stencil Pal!! I LOVE layering these sets to create my own designs and with the addition of some Therm O Web and Gina K Designs Silver Glitz Glitter Gel it really makes the Design Sparkle and Shine!! I adhered the Panel onto the Cardbase using Foam Tape and my card was done!!

Newton

Happy Friday Crafty Friends!!

I'm up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today with this Easter bunny scene that turned out SOOOOO CUTE!! I created this adorable scene of bunnies using several different stamp sets together to create a bundle of cuteness!! I started out with the bunny adorned with flowers from the Woodland Spring Stamp Set
I also used the bunny from the Bitty Bunnies Stamp Set and mirror stamped it so that it would face toward the other bunny!! I Simply Stamped the Image onto a Gel Plate and then placed my Cardstock over the top of the Gel Plate and transferred the Image onto my Cardstock!! SWOON!! This is the BEST Mirror Image I've ever done!! I saw this technique showcased at CREATIVATION and I'm SO HAPPY I did!! The Gel plates make it SO EASY!! Plus beings I used Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink, I was able to Emboss the Image too!! YIPPEE!! I like to Stamp and Emboss ALL of my Images as I like the BOLD Image I get!! I used Copic Markers to color ALL of the Images and then DIe Cut them out using the coordinating Dies!!

To create my scene I die cut some layers of grass using the Land Borders Die Set. I added in the two bunnies along with some eggs and tiny flowers from the Bunny Hop Stamp Set. I also added in a chick from the Newton's Easter Basket Stamp Set. I added some Tumbled Glass Distress ink for the little blue in the sky behind my Images and added the "Happy Easter" Die cut sentiment using the Spring Pile Up Die Set. I Die Cut 4 layers!! Adhered them altogether and Inked the bottom half using Tumbled Glass Distress Ink!! The whole panel that the scene is on was cut out using the stitched rectangle from our Frames & Flags Die Set.
For the Cardbase background I created a gorgeous pattern using the Plaid Stencil Set. I used Milled Lavender and Wilted Violet for the First Layer!!
I used Spun Sugar and Picked Raspberry for the Second Layer!!
I also added a layer of Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to the Diamonds Layers of the Argyle Stencil Set
Then I used the Dash Diamonds Layer of the Argyle Stencil Set to apply some Therm O Web Pewter Metallix Gel!! I used the Therm O Web Stencil Tool and I just LOVE how EASY it makes it!! Plus there's little Waste!!
I wanted to add some Sparkle so I applied some Lawn Fawn Coarse Glitter!! SWOON!! Just the finishing touch I was wanting!! I sat it aside to dry!! I LOVE mixing the different Stencil Set together to create my OWN Patterns and Designs!! There are SO MANY options available!!

Then I simple adhered the Scene Panel onto the Cardbase Panel using some Foam Tape!! I just LOVE the way it turned out and I hope you fell INSPIRED to create some Easter Cards too!!??

THANKS SO MUCH for stopping by today and I hope you have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!!

No photo description available.
HELLO!!

The current challenge going up today features a Plaid Theme!!

Newton's Nook Designs is generously providing a $25 gift certificate to a randomly chosen winner of the Cupcake Inspiration Challenge #465!!

Here's what I've created for today!!
My idea was to create a SWEET Spring card that could be used for any occasion!! I wanted the background to be BOLD so I used both the Plaid and Argyle Stencils together to create a really FUN Design and I LOVE how it turned out!! I used Maliblue Simon Says Stamp Ink, Tattered Rose and Milled Lavender Distress Inks and the NEW Gina K Designs and Therm O Web Glitz Glitter Gel in White for some SPARKLE and Dimension!! I created a Frame using the Framework Die Set and stacked 5 together to create a dimensional Frame for my focal Image!! The images are from the NEW Woodland Spring Stamp Set!! I colored them in with Copic Markers and Die cut them out using the coordinating Woodland Spring Dies to die cut them out!! Then I used some Tonic Studios Glitter Nuvo Drops to add some Dimension and Sparkle to the Flower Centers!! I also added some White and Black Gel Pen details and a Pom-Pom for a Fuzzy Tail!!

I hope you LOVE this card as much as I do and I CANT WAIT to see what you create!!

THANKS SO MUCH for stopping by and I hope you have a FABULOUS WEEK!!

Newton's Nook Designs November Release ~ Christmas Haul, Moose Mountain, Snowman Advice & 2 NEW Layering Stencil Sets!!

Hello!!
          SQUEAL!!
I'm here with Day 1 of the
.                            Today we're showcasing the NEW
"Christmas Haul" Stamp Set, "Moose Mountain" Stamp Set, "Snowman Advice" Stamp Set and 2 NEW Layering Stencils "Plaid Layering" Stencil and "Argyle Layering" Stencil!!
Let's take a look at the AWESOME New Products!!

Are you EXCITED YET!!?? You're going to LOVE it ALL!! I'll admit though, I'm ADDICTED to those NEW Stencils!! I WANT to stencil ALL of the things!! lol  😉
Here's what I've created today!!

For this SWEET Gift Tag I wanted to try my hand at some No-Line Coloring!! I have recently invested in some Polychromos Colored Pencils, and SWOON!! I understand why others are SO in LOVE with them!! I Stamped the Image onto my Kraft Tag Die Cut using the NND Fancy Edges Tag Die!! After coloring the Image in I decided to Emboss the Natural MFT Ink so I Stamped over the Image using Versa mark ink and Embossed it using Clear Embossing Powder!! I think this Step REALLY made the Image Details POP against the Coloring!! I Die Cut it out using the coordinating Die and then Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment!! Again I Stamped part of the Sentiment using MFT Natural Ink and Embossed it using Versa Mark Ink and Clear Embossing Powder and for the FABULOUS I Stamped and Embossed it using some WoW Emerald Glitter Embossing Powder!! SWOON!! I just LOVE Glitter Embossing Powder!! I Inked the background of the Tag with some Lucky Clover Distress Ink added some Water Splatters for texture and adhered the Die Cut Image using some Foam Tape!! I decided to also add some Tonic Studios Aqua Glitter Pen and Nuvo Drops in Morning Dew to some of the Elements just to add some Dimension and Shine!! A Red Seam Binding Bow finishes off the Gift!!
For my Moose Card, I wanted to create a Slider Design!! My boys, ESPECIALLY Greyson (5) has had a BLAST with this Card!! I also KNEW I wanted to create a Plaid Design for the Card Base!! So I used Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to Ink my Cardbase!! Then I used Ripe Persimmon Distress Ink to create the Plaid Design around the edge!! I LOVE this Stencil Design because I was able to line up the design to make it a cohesive design around my Cardbase just by lining up the stencil!! Then I used Chipped Sapphire to add the other Stencil Pattern to finish off the Plaid Design!! I Die Cut the NND Frameworks Frame from some Black Cardstock and then Layered the Card Design ontop!! I LOVE the Color Palette and think ANY guy (young or old) would appreciate this Card!!
For the Focal point on my Card I Die Cut the I Die Cut the NND Frameworks Frame from some Distress Watercolor Paper and Inked it up using Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink to match the Stenciling on the Card!! I layered 6 Frames together to make the Frame POP!! Then I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment using some Hero Arts Shadow Ink!! I added some Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to make the Sentiment POP!! Then I Stamped and Embossed the SWEET Snowman Image and colored it using Copic Markers!! I Fussy Cut it out and adhered it to the Corner of the Frame!!
For the Cardbase, I started with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto an A2 piece of Distress Watercolor Cardstock!! Using Therm O Web Purple Tape to hold my stencil in place to ENSURE a clean Stenciled Design!!
Next I lined up the Argyle Pattern and Inked again using Spun Sugar Distress Ink!! It's HARD to see in the photos, but there are etched lines that are on the top side of the Stencil to help you with lining the stencil pattern up just right!! Such an AMAZING Design!!

I then brought in the 2nd Stencil and using Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink I decided to line up the Pattern in the open areas!! I wanted to add some Foil and thought it would look best over the Colored ares, so that was my thought process!! There are SO MANY options with this AWESOME Set though!! CAN'T WAIT to see what others will do with it!!
Then I lined up the Stencil Etching Design over my Inked Cardstock and taped it down using Therm O Web Purple Tape and applied some Deco Foil Transfer Gel over the Stencil using my Tonic Studios Palette Knife!! I applied some Hickory Smoke Distress Ink first, just to help make the Transfer Gel show up in my Photos!! Normally, the Gel Dries Clear and its HARD to see in Photos!! So I wanted to make SURE you could see the Details!!
Here's what the Design looks like once the Deco Foil Transfer Gel is Dry!! This alone would make a BEAUTIFUL Background!! With just alittle Dimension that Argyle Pattern REALLY comes to life!!
I Cut a Piece of Iridescent Deco Foil and ran it through my Laminating Machine!! SWOON!! I LOVE the finished results!! I HOPE this HELPS you to think outside of the box and ALL of the different ways you can add your own personal touches to these Plaid, or Argyle Layering Stencil Sets!!
