Make sure you scroll down to the bottom of this post to see the whole list!! Then hop along and comment for a chance to win!!
I wanted to make a SWEET Valentine's Day Gift Set for my Mother!! So I've created a Card, Gift Bag and a pair of BEAUTIFUL Daisy Earrings!!
If you follow me, you know that I also ENJOY making Jewelry so today I want to share a FUN and FAST way to use your Card Making supplies to create an ENTIRE Gift Set for any of your Gift Giving needs, no matter what occasion!!
I Started with my Gift Bag!! I LOVE using Patterned Paper as a Base and then using my Stencils to add that personalized touch!! I wanted an Ombre` look so I Stenciled with the NEW Bokeh Heart Stencil #1 and Sprayed the back with some Therm O Web Pixie Spray, I adhered it over my Gift Bag and used some Purple Tape just to help secure it then using Spun Sugar and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide Inks and Ink Daubers I inked the Hearts!! I LOVE the dimension you can get, just by adding some shading with a Darker Ink!!
Next I applied Stencil #2 and applied a thin coat of the NEW Therm O Web Transfer Gel Duo using my Stencil Pal!! I removed the Stencil and set the Bag aside to Dry!! You'll have to repeat this process 2 times for both sides of the Bag!! Then wait for if to completely Dry!! The Hearts will dry Clear and the Gel will remain tacky!! The AWESOME thing is you can now use the NEW Therm O Web Duo Gel without a Laminator!!
So once it was Dry, I cut a Piece of Wild Cherry Deco Foil and ran it through my Die Cutting Machine and look Foiling without a Laminator!! If you have a Laminator, you can also still use it to foil the same way!! I then added some White Pen Stitching to the Hearts and then I adhered the Bag together!! I just LOVE the way it turned out!!
Next, I wanted to create my Earrings!! I'm ALWAYS looking for FUN ways to use my Dies in my Jewelry Making, and Shrink Plastic is a GREAT!! I used the Flower Trio Dies and Die Cut several of the Daisies and a few of the Smaller Daisies from the White Shrink Plastic!!
I used Copic Markers to color the Die Cuts!! I used Y00, Y11 & YR23 for the Smaller Daisies and N2, N4 & N6 for the Larger Daisies just to add some shading to the Petals!! I always like to Die Cut more than I need, so I have extra if I need them!! I've found with the Larger Daisies its useful to use a Stylus to hold the center of the Daisies while your shrinking them with the Heat Tool!! You also want to keep the Heat gun moving around so that everything shrinks evenly otherwise the Petals may stick together while Shrinking!! These are just a Few TIPS to help make the process easier for you!!
Once I had them Shrunk down I then took some E6000 Glue and applied it using a Toothpick and Glued 2 of the Larger Daisies together for a Layered look!! Then I Glued a Smaller Daisy in the center and set them aside to dry completely!! Once they were Dry, I used a Ball Ended Jewelry Wire and attached the Daisies to the Vintaj Natural Brass Long Tall Rectangle Flower Stencil Pendant Bases!! I just created a Simple Wired Loop on the Back to secure them, but if you don't know how to create on you could also just adhere them to the top of the Brass Base using more of the E6000 Glue!! I then adhered my French Earring Wires and my Earring were finished!!
They turned out so NEAT and I just LOVE Daisies so I think my Mom will ALWAYS think of my when she wears them!!
Here's a Side View so you can see the FUN Dimension!! I also wanted to create the Earring Holder to coordinate so I used the Fancy Edges Tag Die Set and Die Cut 2 Tags from some Woodgrain Patterned Paper!! I adhered them together and then Die Cut a Small Stitched Rectangle from some White Cardstock!! I inked with Tumbled Glass and Peeled Paint Distress Oxide Inks and then Adhered the Tag Topper that I Die Cut 3 Times from the same Woodgrain Patterned Paper to the Top of the Rectangle!! I punched the Holes and placed the Wires through the holes and placed the Earring Backs on to keep them secure on the Tag!!
Here's a look at the Finished Gift Bag with my Ribbon Scrap Bow that I adhered to the Top of a Mini Clothes Pen using Mini Bling Zots Adhesive Dots and the Earring on the coordinating Tag!! The Tag will fit perfectly inside the Bag along with some Paper Stuffing!!
I wanted the Card to coordinate with the rest of the Gift Set so I used all of the same Products!! I Started by Die Cutting my Scalloped Rectangle Panel from the same Woodgrain Patterned Paper!! Then I Die Cut a Stitched Rectangle from White Cardstock and Inked the #1 Bokeh Heart Stencil using Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet Distress Inks!! I then placed the #2 Stencil over the top of that and Inked with Victorian Velvet and Aged Mahogany Distress Oxide Inks!! I wanted to add some subtle Sentiment Stamping to the background so I used the Sentiments for the Simply Seasonal Stamp Set and the Lovely Blooms Stamp Set to create my own personalized Sentiment "Valentine's Day for my AMAZING Mother" and I Stamped it onto my Cardbase at an angle using some TE Sea Salt Ink!! It's very subtle, but that's the look I was going for and I LOVE how it looks as you can still read it even ontop of the Stenciled Hearts!!
I added some Black Soot Distress Paint Splatters and some Gold Midas Touch Shimmer Pen Splatters for some Sparkle!! Then I Die Cut the Felt Daisies also using the !! I Die Cut 6 Diasies from TE Marshmallow Felt and Layered 2 together for each Flower!! Then adhered some Yellow Buttons with Burlap Twine to the Center of the Flowers and adhered them over the TE Split Pea Green Stems that I Die Cut also 3 times!!
I adhered everything down using Zots Bling Adhesive Dots and then I added some Iridescent Jewels to finish off the Design!! I LOVE the way it turned out and I just know my Mom is going to CHERISH this Gift she gets for Valentine's Day!!
