HELLO!!
I'm here with Paper Sweeties for the New Paper Sweeties January Release Sneak Peeks!! I'm SO EXCITED to share what I have made using the New Somewhere over the Rainbow Stamp Set and the Coordinating Somewhere over the Rainbow Sweet Cuts Die Set!!
For my first Project I've made some Sweet Gift Tags to go along with some SUPER FUN Gumball Necklaces!! I saw these and just KNEW I had to make them for Greyson for his Valentines!! I LOVE the Idea of the Rainbow Theme and thought it went well with this Sweet Stamp Set!! I Die Cut a Stitched Tag and then tamped and Embossed my Images onto some Distress Watercolor Paper using Black Versa Fine Ink then I Embossed them using Clear Embossing Powder!! I used my Distress Inks to Watercolor the Images and then added them to my Stitched Tag!! I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment using several Sentiments together from the Set!! I had to cut one of them for the Layout that I wanted, but I can always use it the original way if I need!! I LOVE the look!!
For the SUPER FUN Gumball Necklaces I started with some Ribbon!! I've used SEVERAL Different kinds just to show that you can use whatever you may have on hand!! I found that the Thinner Ribbon worked the Best, but you can try whatever you may have on hand!! You'll need an Awl or something Sharp to poke your Holes into the Gumballs!! I even just tried the Sharp end of my EK Success Cutter Bee Scissors and that worked too, but beings I have a Vintaj Awl that's what I decided to use!! I noticed it was better to poke a whole on both sides rather than going straight through the Gumballs because they seemed to crack more when you did that, but you can try it and see what works best for you!! Then you'll need your Ribbon (a little less than a Yard if your going to Tie Knots inbetween each of the Gumballs) and a Large Eyed Sewing Needle so you can thread the Ribbon through and go through all of the Gumballs!! Then a Pair of Pliers was very helpful to help pull the Needle and Ribbon through the Gumballs!! I tied Knots inbetween some of the Gumballs and didn't on some too and I liked them both ways!! Whatever you decide you like best is just fine!! Once all the Gumballs were threaded through you can tie a Bow and then Gumball Necklaces are ready to give as Gifts!! You can add Bows to the Sides of the Necklaces too in different Ribbon if you want to dress them up some I just used a Needle and thread and Stitched them on!! I found some Really Sweet Valentines Day Gift Boxes at the Dollar General Store so I decided to package them up real nice using some Paper Confetti and/or some Valentines Day Sizzlets to Fill the Bottom of the Boxes and then I was able to Set the Necklaces on top for a Beautiful Display!! SQUEAL!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way they turned out and I think you will LOVE them too!! =)
I hope you'll stop by the rest of the AMAZING DT Blogs to see what they have created!! =)
