Hello!!
Are you Enjoying the Newton's Nook Designs September Release so far!!?? I know I am!! =)
Today we are showcasing the New Stamp Set "Spooky Street"!!
I thought it would be AWESOME to use it for a FUN Home Décor Project!! I wanted to create a Neat Halloween Framed Piece of Art and I LOVE the way it turned out!! I started by stamping the Haunted House Image using some Versa Fine Black Ink and then I Embossed it real quick using some Judikins Sticky Stuff Embossing Powder!! I heat set it and added some Stampendous Super Fine Black Glitter!! LOVE IT!! I then stamped and Embossed two of the Haunted Tree Images with Clear Embossing Powder over my Versa Fine Black Ink!! Then I stamped one more Haunted Tree Image only this time I stamped the Second Generation stamp off in the background to give the piece some depth!! Then I stamped that Sweet Owl Image with Versa Mark and I wanted to use some Ranger Black Puffy Embossing Powder!! This is some COOL Stuff!! In real life it looks like the Owl has Feathers!! =) Then I stamped 3 of the Bat Images just in plain Versa Fine Black Ink!! I wanted to create a Glow-In-The Dark Night Sky so I stamped the Moon Image in some Mama Elephant Yellow Ink and then stamped over it using some Versa Mark Ink and then added some Judikins Sticky Stuff Embossing Powder heat set it then sprinkled it with some Martha Stewart Glow-In-The-Dark Glitter!! This looks SO NEAT in the Dark!! =) I then added the Spooky Eye Images and I knew I wanted them to look like they were really Glowing in the Dark so I used some White Embossing Powder and then added some Glue Pen to the Eye Ball areas and added some Green Glitter for a Scary Effect!! =) LOVE IT!! I decided to add some Orange Glitter to the Owl's Eyes too!! I wanted to create a distinctive Ground and Foreground so I used my Paper Smooches Stitching Dies to add some Die Cut Stitched Lines and I LOVE the Dimension it adds without extra bulk!! Then I went in and added my Distress Ink using Fresh Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey, Spring Moss, Pumice Stone, Walnut Stain and Black Soot to add LIFE to the Background!! I ABSOLUTELY LOVE the way it turned out and I want to create another one only this time make it a Grave Stone Scene!! =) I found this PERFECT Frame at Hobby Lobby for $7.00 (at Half Off~Score) and added some Distress Ink to make the Details Pop and then I Painted a Silver Stampin' Up Name Plate with some Martha Stewart Glossy Black Paint and once it was dry I scratched away parts of the Paint to give it a Distressed look!! I then stamped and Embossed the Sentiment using Clear Embossing Powder over Black Versa Fine Ink and added alittle Distress Ink and Glued it to the front of the Frame!! I LOVE how it turned out and I can't wait to create another one and display them for the Halloween Season!!
I wanted to share a Video too so you could get a REAL Life look at just How FUN this turned out!!
Gotta LOVE Greyson (my 19month old) at the end of the video saying UUHHOO!! =) He LOVES to look at this and says uuhhoo to those eyes!! So FUN for little minds to look at and ENJOY!!
