Hello!!

I'm stopping in to share the card I've made for the JustRite Friday Challenge #118 - Behind The Mask!!  I really like to mask, I just don't do it as much as I should!! I really like layering stamped images together to create really personalized one of a kind designs!! I've done just that for today's card!! I wanted to create a card for my Mother for Mother's Day!! She like Antiques and collects Old Jars of all types so when I was looking through my stash of JustRite Stamps I thought it would be Neat to create a Jar filled with Flowers!! Her Favorite Flowers are Pansies and Lily's, but I don't have either of those in stamps so I decided to use my Favorite Flowers Daisies!!
I've used the JustRite Baking Antique Tags One, Botanical Medallions and Banners, Bundle of Joy Vintage Labels Five, and the Grateful Heart Vintage Labels Two Stamp Sets for my card today!!
Baking Antique Tags One Clear Stamps     Botanical Medallions & Banners Clear Stamps   Bundle of Joy Vintage Labels Five Clear Stamps  Grateful Heart Vintage Labels Two Clear Stamps
I started by making my masks!! I had to make three Daisy Cluster Flower Masks and one Jar Mask!! I then stamped my first Flower Cluster and then I covered it with a mask and Stamped another cluster of flowers beside it and then covered it!! I stamped the Cluster of Flowers two more times above the other two Clusters of Flowers that I had already stamped and I had my BEAUTIFUL Flower Bouquet ready for the Jar!! I left the Masks on the Flowers and then stamped the Jar making sure that the top of the lid wasn't being seen and covered by the Flowers otherwise it wouldn't have made any sense!! Right!!??  HAAHA!! I also decided to add a Single Daisy Flower down beside the Jar so I took some washi tape and covered the other two Daisy Images on the Stamp so that just the Single Daisy was showing and then I inked it up and removed the washi tape then stamped my Single Daisy Image beside the Jar!! I LOVE how Sweet just this Single Daisy looks!! =)
I removed my masks and colored in the images using Colored Pencils!! I took some Gamsol and blended out my lines to create a really soft and very detailed and layered colored image!! I wanted to add a Delicate Design in the background like wallpaper?? or something!! So I used some Pumice Stone Distress Ink and a Pretty Flourish Stamp and stamped around the Background of my Bouquet!! I covered my images again with the masks just so I didn't ruin my card!! That would have been my luck!! LOL!! I LOVE how it turned out, but it was alittle to dark so I had to go around my Images again with a Grey and a Blue Colored Pencil to make the shadows darker so the Flower Bouquet stood out more against the background!! I really LOVE the way it turned out!! I wanted the Stamped Bouquet to be the FOCAL POINT of the Card so I didn't want to add to many embellishments!! So I decided just to add some Rock Candy Distress Glitter to the centers of my Flowers for some subtle Sparkle and then I added a Ribbon Bow and a Label that I added Pearls and Foam Tape to after I stamped my personalized sentiment and Colored the Label!!
I get my LOVE for crafting from my Mother!! She has always been VERY Creative and has AMAZED me all of my life with all of the AWESOME things she has made!! She LOVES to paint with Water Colors and when I told her that it was a HUGE trend in Card making right now, she Laughed!! So I know she will really LOVE this card I've made for her!!
Here is my card!!

THANKS SO MUCH for stopping by today and I hope you have a FABULOUS WEEK!!

  5. Just gorgeous ! I didn't think to try those daisies yet with the bottle, and they worked beautifully! I think I used the poppies from that set the first time. Don't you just love that bottle? It's one of my favourites now.

  8. Oh, she'll love this to bits, Larissa! It's BEAUTIFUL! Fabulous coloring job, too! I wish my Mom were creative. I can only imagine how brave I'd be now ;). She appreciates my cards, but if I stray to something too crafty in my gift giving, they get thrown in her office and don't go on display. That's how I know what she really loves and doesn't so much. LOL!
