HELLO!!
Are you ready for the New February Release Party to start with the Newton's Nook Designs Team!!
I can't wait for all of the FUN this week!! They are adding three new sets to the collection - and two of them are a BRAND NEW 3" x 4" mini size! Starting today we're going to showcase these three sets with our whole design team and then All sets will be available for sale on Friday, January 21st!Today, we're starting things off with the Winston's Birthday Stamp Set!!
This set is FULL of FUN for any occasion even though it is geared towards Birthday's!! I thought I'd share a FUN Spin on that and create a Card that could just as easily be made into a Father's Day card or even a Get Well or Thinking of you Card the only thing you'd have to change is the Sentiment!!
Here is my card!!
See what I mean so VERSATILE!! Plus who can resist this Sweet Winston!!??
So I started by cutting my Patterned Paper from the Fancy Pants Swagger 6x6 Patterned Paper Pad (all papers used are from this collection except the corrugated and the oatmeal cardstock) down to 4x51/4 and then I rounded the edges using my Corner Chopper by We R Memory Keepers!! I created two Flags and then a smaller Oatmeal Cardstock Panel that I stamped my Image onto!! I wanted a 3-D look so I cut two different layers for Winston one from a Bark Paper and another from Oatmeal Cardstock and Fussy cut them out!! I used a Black Soot Distress Marker to finish off the edges and then adhered the Pieces together!! In order to create a seamless look around his paws I used an exact-o knife to cut around them on the Bark Paper and then slid the Oatmeal tummy inside them and added on stick to the Mustache mask and I glued it down!! The little mustache and the hat are also images I cut out from the FP Swagger Paper!! I had to scale the Mustache down alittle, bit I just LOVE the way it turned out!! I stamped 6 balloon images and cut them out and layered them using foam tape!! I stamped my strings and then adhered them to the card!! I water colored the ground and a shadow using my Faber-Castell Aquarelle Water Color Pencils and then stamped a Fish and a bow and paper pieced them together to add at Winston's Feet!! I Really had FUN with this and I know you will too!! Think of all of the possibilities!! Oh~ this is going to be a FUN Set!! I look forward to seeing what all of you create with it!!
