July 12 Tags of 2013 with Tim Holtz!! =)

WOW!! It's August already tomorrow!!
Where has July went so FAST!!??
Only 20 short days of Summer Vacation left for my sweet Beckett and he will be a 1st Grader!! So SAD, but EXCITING at the same time!! I will miss him being here to help keep Greyson occupied while I'm trying to get things done and I think Greyson is going to miss him being here too, he just doesn't know it yet!! =)
Anyway, I'm here to share the Tag I made for the July 12 Tags of 2013!!
I didn't have a Brayer, so I used a paper towel and I actually liked the look I got!! I also stamped with my Stain for the first time and I really like the way it turned out so I will be trying this again only maybe on some background stamps!! I used Festive Berries, Chipped Sapphire and then added in the Brushed Pewter for some shimmer!! OHOHOHOHOH~how I LOVE the added shimmer this gives and when applied with a paper towel it is really just a dusting of color instead of a full coverage of color!! I will be using this technique again too!! =) I wanted my images to pop more so I traced them with my Picket Fence Distress Marker and the Chipped Sapphire Marker!! I really like the bit of interest it added!! For the stars I stamped and embossed them using Fine Detail Pewter Embossing powder and cut them out then I used my Brushed Pewter stain on the paper towel and swiped them to cover and I really like the way they turned out!! I didn't have the Die Tim used for his tag so I used the BluePrint Stamps and the stains to create my own design!! I really LOVE the way it came together!!  Here are some pictures of my finished tag!!
