SO EXCITED!!
I LOVE having an Inspirational Jumping off point some times, but when you are given free rein to create ANYTHING you'd like well sometimes MAGIC Happens!!  =)
I am SO EXCITED about the card that I have created for the Paper Smooches ANYTHING Goes Challenge!!  I have been wanting to play around with the dies some more and this gave me a chance to do just that!! I started by die cutting the Large Hexagon out of my Wood Veneer Paper and then the next size smaller out of Oatmeal cardstock!! I then took the Love Word Die and ran it through with an Embossing mat so that I just embossed it into the paper rather than cutting it all of the way out!! I found out that in order for this to get a clean finish its mandatory that you wet your cardstock or the paper will crack in between the letters!! I'm assuming this is because they are spaced so close together!! I then took my card front and repeated the same process after spraying it first with a fine mist of water both front and back!! I offset the word each time for a better visual look!! I then die cut the word from masking paper and I masked the word LOVE on my hexagon piece!! I then took my Faber-Castell Big Brush Pens in (Medium Flesh 131,  Permanent Carmine 126, and Skyblue 146) and colored onto an acrylic block then I added some water to make my water color and painted to cover the whole hexagon shape!! Half with blue and half with the coral pink!! I then flicked the water color onto the base of my card leaving splatters of both colors and once my hexagon shape was dry I added splatters to it too!! I removed the mask and I wanted a clean word so I could have a Highlight for the Wood Veneer Love Die Cut, but the paper must of soaked up more of the color than I thought it would and some of the word got colored, but I actually like the way it turned out!! I then took a inking blending tool and used old paper Distress Ink to give some life and depth to my card front and the word Love on the hexagon piece!! I SO LOVE the fun look and I have noticed that the water colored look is a BIG trend right now!! I added a few Prima Heart Gems to finish the card!!
Here are some pics of my finished card!!

I am also linking this card up for the 10 Minute Craft Dash #17 Challenge over on the Pretty Pink Posh Blog!!  It only took me 8 min. 50 sec. to create this card which is the fastest I have created a card yet!! The longest part was embossing the words in the front of my card, but once that was done it was a really fast card to create!! =) I hope you'll play along, but if not atleast go and check out all of the AMAZING creations created in 10 min. or less!! =)
The Moxie Fab World Blog is also hosting a challenge "The Wonder of Water Color Challenge".
So please go and check this challenge out too, you will be COMPLETELY AMAZED at all of the Inspiration you'll find!! =)
THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEK!!
