DeNami Design Fancy Favors Blog Hop!! =)

Hello!!
Happy April!! Can you believe Summer will be here in no time!? Well today I am joining in on the Fancy Favors Blog Hop over on the DeNami Design Blog and you aren't going to want to miss out on all of the AMAZING Inspiration!! You should have came from the very talented Dana Seymour
Blog!! Weren't you WoWed!?
I decided I wanted to make a FUN Boy themed Birthday Favor that I could make for my son Beckett's 7th Birthday!! After looking through my stash I wasn't seeing anything that said 7 yr. old boy, so I decided to use my stamp and turn it into a bug!!
Stitching is so in right now so I decided to stitch along the outline of the stamp. After that was done I cut it down alittle bit and added some wire legs and some very mini buttons for the eyes!! Aren't they cute!! I then stamped the label stamp and masked the Large Birthday Circle stamp so I could stamp one of the arched Birthday words in the top center of the tag!! I LOVE The way it looks!! I colored in the label edge and then distressed it with Black Soot Distress ink!! I die cut two Large Tag shapes from my Sizzix die and scored them at 1 1/2 inches from the bottom of the tag and glued them together to make my candy holder!! They will hold one large Kit Kat Candy Bar or any other Large Candy Bar of your choice!! I tied a black May Arts Black Grosgrain Ribbon at the top to hold it together and attached the tag using foam 3-D Tape!! I LOVE the way they turned out and Beckett LOVES them!! He can't wait to give them away to his friends!!
So I hope this inspires you to look at your supplies in a different way and see what they could be used/turned into so you can get more out of them!! Here they are in all of their Buggy Glory!!

  6. Awesome Boy Party favor idea!! Even though they have cooties, if little girls were attending the party, you could create a Lady Bug Bag or maybe a butterfly :) Love this Bug Bag very much!! TFS.

  11. Clever idea. What seven year old boy doesn't love bugs. I'm amazed at the time you took. How many of these do you have to make?

  14. I love that you chose something specifically that wasn't intended for women! I'm always looking for good ideas for the men in my life... and it's hard to create something masculine. You nailed it!
