CD_14

I was able to break out my NEW Lawn Fawn Stamps and dies for this FUN Challenge over on the PrettyPinkPosh Blog!!
I wanted to create a couple cards that I needed to give away and this fit perfectly!!
The first one is for some friends/neighbors who are going through a hard pregnancy she is in the Hospital on bed rest with 15 weeks left til' her due date!! I thought it would be fun to use the jar die and create a window and then to stamp the jar on some of the New Prima Marketing Sunset paper and it really does give the inside of the jar a sunset look!! I then stamped the branch and a nest and the bird and decided to leave them in white to show that feeling of being sick or washed out from all of the stress and worry that they are going through!! I added some grass and the feel better sentiment across the bottom of the card!! I LOVE the way it turned out and I know they will appreciate it!! =)  It took me 9 min. 58 sec. to finish this card!!
For my second card I wanted to use the Polaroid Die and create a FUN scene with the birdhouse and the bird!! I stamped a many thanks sentiment in the background and then the banner I stamped the You Brighten and on the inside of the card I cut another Banner and stamped the rest of the sentiment  my day!! I added some distress ink to fade it out alittle and I really LOVE it!! It took me 9 min. 46 sec. to finish this second card!! I had a BLAST Creating these cards for the challenge and hope I'll be able to play along again!! Here are my cards!!

I also wanted to play along with the challenge over on the Moxie Fab World Blog for the Card Creations Week: Emphasize the Negative Challenge

Today over on the Paper Trey Ink Blog they are challenging us to use our Favorite Paper Trey Products along with sequins!! So I made some Easter Cards using the new
Polka Dot Parade #1 Mini Stamp Set along with the matching die!!
I also used te Stitched Flowers stamp set and did some hand stitching!! I wanted to also play along with the challenges over on the Moxie Fab World Blog for the Card Creations Week: Emphasize the Negative Challenge and The Play Date Cafe Challenge so that is the color palette I used!!

I stamped the flowers on the kraft card base and stitched them using embrodery thread!! I then used the tag die and die cut a tag and then cut the bunny out of the tag and backed it with a sequin base!! I then stam and embossed the Bunny and stamped the rest of the sentiment in black!! I added it to the card with pop dots and added some white ink around the edges of the card to pull it all together!! I LOVE the way it turned out!! Here are some pics!!

Easter Retro Sketches Style!! =)

Today I'm playing along with this Amazing Sketch Challenge over on the Retro Sketches Blog!!
I also decided to combine it with the WPlus9 Monday Mood Board #6 Challenge over on the
WPlus9 Blog!!

Don't you just LOVE these fun sugar cookies!!??  I want to eat them along with those jelly bean eggs!! YUMMY!! So after much brainstorming about what I was going to create I thought it would be FUN to create my own stencil using the Tim Holtz Easter Elements large Sizzix Die!! I used a heavy piece of cardstock and cut out the bunny image!! I held onto the bunny too so I couldduse it as a mask after the stamping so I could trace around the image!!  I used the mask and the Large flower bundle stamp from the WPlus9 Embroidered Boutique Stamp Set!! You have to make sure that you press down good around the edges of the mask or the stamping won't be crisp around the edges and you want those crisp edges!!  I then took a needle and punched holes along all of the dot and stitch lines just to add some more interest!! I took my copic markers and colored along all of the lines and colored in the flowers!! I added some Prima Gems and my image was finished!! I really LOVE the way this turned out and I can't wait to try it again!! =)

I punched and layered three different patterned papers I have been taking the
Pattern Play Online Class this week and I used some of the info I've learned to pick out my papers for this card!!  I then added a ribbon and pop dots to the image and my card was finished!! I hope you love my card as much as I do!!?? Here are some pictures!! =)

Tattered Floral Challenge #2 with Tim Holtz!! =)

Well for my second take on the Tattered Floral Challenge with Tim Holtz, I wanted to create a CUTE Gift set for my new niece (?) who will be her in 5 days!!  =)  I have several babies who will be born this year so if my sister has a boy I can give this as a gift to one of my cousins or friends who will be having babies so nothing is lost!!
I LOVE the Tattered Floral Die and I have used the daisy to create hair bows for my nieces last year for Valentines Day!! So this time around I wanted to use the other flowers on the die and I wanted a Big and Full Flower!!  So I started out by cutting several flowers (4) each out of white felt and Mustard Canvas!!  I then took a 2 inch circle of felt and used it as my base!! I started by taking the large flower and folding it in half and then folding it again to create a triangle!! I then layed it onto the circle in 1/4 of the area and stitched it down!! I repeated the process until I had all four large white felt flowers into triangle 1/4 creating a full circle on the felt circle piece!! I repeated this same process with the mustard large flowers and of set them on the white felt pieces so that the seams didn't line up!!  I then repeated the same process with the daisy flowers starting with the white felt ones and then repeating with the mustard ones!! Once they were all stitched down I then took one of the next smallest flowers in white felt layered it down in the center of the flower and then I took one more folded it in half and rolled it to create a bud for the center of my flower!! I stitched them to the flower base and fluffed everything together!!  I repeated this whole process to create another flower bow!! =) I just LOVE this color combo and the full look I was able to achieve!! When it comes to Little's shirts I have found that it is best to either attach snaps or Velcro to the bottom of the flowers so that when you go to wash them they don't get ruined!! So I sewed on five large snaps and the other half to the shirt!! This is also nice because you can create several different styles and change them out as you want!! I then snapped the flower in place and added some additional tiny flowers with some gold flat sequins and pearls in the centers. I then placed snaps on the backs of them as well with the other ends on the shirt!! (This process is alittle time consuming, but trust me it is SO worth the work!!)  I added some gold beads and these I stitched into place!! I LOVE the way it turned out and I am looking forward to all of the different designs I can come up with to give as part of my gift then they can change them out as they desire for any occasion!!  For the head band I took some stretch banding and created my headband and then added the large flower again with snaps that have been sewn to the felt 2 inch circle backing!! I stitched the other ends to the felt piece that I attached to the headband!! That way they can  switch out the different flowers to match the shirt!! I REALLY LOVE these and I know whoever they go to they will be LOVED and USED!!
I will make a video sharing how this comes together and how the snaps work!!
Here are some photos!!

March 12 Tags of 2013 with Tim Holtz!! =)

What a FUN Spring Color Palette!! I was able to play along with the Ranger Ink and Tim Holtz March Tag Challenge for 2013!!
I decided to combine them because they seemed to go together perfectly!! I took a Ranger Inkessentials Manila Craft Tag Size#10 for my base and added a fun floral patterned paper from Crate Paper ontop!! Then I took the Tim Holtz Tissue Tape and layered the whole tag with it!!  I love this look because its so transparent that you can still see the paper pattern underneath. I then die cut a label die from the new crackle TimHoltz/Core`dinations paper and the traced one of the Large Easter Bunny shapes in the center of the label and cut it out!!  I wanted the cracks to show  up more in the cardstock so I covered it with Mustard Seed and Squeezed Lemonade then went around the edges with Walnut Stain!!  I took a piece of cardstock that was large enough to fit behind the bunny and covered it with scor-tape then wrapped Tim's tinsel ribbon around it and attached the label with the bunny cutout over it!!  I colored the tinsel with some lavender alcohol ink and placed it ontop of a kraft on the edge doily cut out by Tim Holtz!!  I took the on the edge doily die and created a full doily by cutting on side of the paper an then flipping it over and die cutting the other side after I lined up the doily pattern to match on each side of the die cut!!  I then covered it with Helmar's Gemstone glue and covered that with the Dry Rock Candy Stickles Glitter!! I LOVE the old and vintage look it gives to the doily!!  I then cut a 11/2 inch green crackle piece of cardstock and used my trusty tonic scissors to cut thin blades of grass going in different directions on either end and meeting in the middle to add more interest to the grass!!  I then added peeled paint and mowed grass distress inks to the piece to add dimension!!  I wanted to add some eggs in the grass and theses eggs by My Favorite Things were perfect!! I die cut several from kraft paper and then stamped with white pigment ink to added a fun pattern to each of the eggs!! I then colored each of them in with my watercolor pencils because I wanted a little bit of color!! I attached them throughout the grass and I LOVE the look they add!!
I then cut out a Tattered Banner ans some of the Carnivale Letters and added it to the top of my tag!! I added my ribbon and twine and my tag was finished!!  Here are some pictures of my finished tag!!
I plan on using it as part of my Easter Decor on my Side Board along with all the rest of my Easter  decorations!!
I decided in the end I didn't like the Easter Banner!!  What do you think!??  =)

Paper Smooches  Designer Drafts Sketch Challenge!!  =)
I was so excited about being able to play with the sketch this week!! I wanted to make a card to Congratulate a cousin on getting a Dream Job!! So I wanted to make it fit her personality and she loveS birds and nature so I decided I would try my hand at stamping a leaf background pattern using the Leafy Greens Stamp set!! I used the color palette from the ColourQ Challenge #180!!

I did some second generation stamping too for a fun layered look!! I then stamped the branch from the Whimsical Stamp set!! I had to mask it to make it long enough to fit across the front of  the card and then I stamped some extra leaves to add to the branches!!  I die cut a Duo Die 1 frame and layered the branch so it was coming out from the inside of the frame!! I then added foam to the center of the frame and placed the frame center over the top to pop it up alittle bit!! I added a line for the top half of the branch and then popped up the birds that were stamped from the whimsical stamp set!! I colored them with copic markers and then fussy cut them out!!  The sentiment was stamped from the Salutations Stamp set and I wanted it to look like a speech bubble so I stamped it and then added the little dots from the Leafy Greens Stamp Set for the speech bubble dots!! I LOVE the way it turned out and I know my cousin will LOVE it!!  Here are some pictures of my finished card!! Don't forget to check out all of the inspiration shared by the other crafters who are playing along with this weeks challenge you will LOVE all of the creative creations!!  =)

Monday Mood Board #5 Challenge with WPlus9!!  =)
I was able to play along with the challenge this week!! I ended up using several of the WPlus9 dies while creating this card!!
I wanted to use papers and canvas to create my main card design!!  I also did some hand stitching and I really had fun putting it together!! I also decided that the card front was too busy to add a sentiment so I added it to the inside of the card and it really finishes it off!! Plus I can use this card for almost any occasion!!  Here are some pictures of my finished card!!

I have been wanting to play along with this challenge for awhile now, but having a newborn makes it kinda hard to get a free 10 minutes to sit down and just time myself on a project!! So I finally made it and I had a BLAST challenging myself!! I am a pretty slow crafter unless I have a certain plan so before I started my card I made sure I had everything planned out and everything ready before I started which made a HUGE difference!! I was able to finish this FUN Easter Card with only 8 sec. to spare!! FEW~~I cut it REALLY close!!
I used the cute Easter Stamp set and Brown felt from Paper Trey Ink and the papers are from Prima Marketing!! I used Stampendous Embossing powders and some ribbon and burlap twine from May Arts Ribbon!! I also added some glass glitter and a couple little gems to finish it off!!
Here are some pictures of the finished card!!

THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!!
