This week I decided to combine the Retro Sketch Challenge with
The Play Date Cafe Color Challenge!!  You should go to each of these sites and check out all of the AMAZING Inspiration!! =)
I wanted to flip the sketch because I had some wooden accents from Pink Paislee's Nantucket Line that I thought would be FUN to use.  The colors of The Play Date Cafe's color challenge made me think of drift wood and summer fun so I decided to go with a FUN Summer card!!
I took a light latte colored cardstock and sprayed it with Simply Sheer Spray by Tattered Angels and then took my paint brush and swiped across my whole card front to give it that drift wood feel!! I then took an Emma's Paperie Paper from Crate Paper and the colors were a PERFECT match. I used it for the front of my card then cut a strip of paper from the Pink Paislee London Market Line and backed it with two strips of lace ribbon from Prima!! I LOVE the way it looks!! I then decided to white wast the wooden word and star fish and then let it dry then I took the same Simply Sheer spray and sprayed the pieces so that the latte color would stain the areas that weren't covered with paint!! Then I took the Dazzling Diamonds Glimmer Mist and sprayed over the pieces for a little touch of shine!! I was SO HAPPY with the way it turned out!! I added two pins on from Pink Paislee and one from Maya Road and I called it down!! I had a BLAST making my card for these two challenges and channeling my beach side!! =)

THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)
