The Play Date Cafe, plus The Craft's Meow!! =)

Hello!! This is my third post for today!! I have been BUSY!! =)
I wanted to play along with two different challenges-

The Play Date Cafe Color Challenge #135 over on The Play Date Cafe Blog!! You won't want to miss ALL of the AMAZING INSPIRATION!! Plus the challenge is being sponsored by The Craft's Meow!! So for me tying these two challenges together was the PERFECT match!! =)
This is the Monthly Sketch Challenge that can be entered over on The Craft's Meow Blog!! You have until the end of the month to join in on the fun, so go and check it out!! =)

I stared out with an aquamarine colored cardstock from October Afternoon for the background of my card!! Then I grabbed a standard shipping tag that I covered with two different papers from the 6x6 Story Teller paper pad by Crate Paper!! The first of the two actually had both the Aquamarine and poolside colors in it and fit PERFECTLY on my card!! I then used a cork paper which has the clay color in it and then I inked the edges of my tag!! I stamped several different designs using a combination of inks to get the look I was after!! I double stamped both of the dress form images and I LOVE the way it turned out!! I stamped the sentiment and the frame and then cut everything out!! I layered the pieces using dimensional foam and then added them to the tag also with dimensional foam!! I tucked the sentiment underneath the tag and added the seam binding ribbon along with some of the May Arts Burlap twine and a vintage button that I tied with clay colored string!! I added it all to a cream cardbase and I couldn't be HAPPIER with the way it turned out!! Here are the photos of my card!! =)

Here are the stamp sets I used both by The Craft's Meow and Nina B Designs!!

  1. Oh, I just adore your "stitched" theme, Larissa, especially those gorgeous, dress forms and cross-stitched letters! Well, I can't overlook that glorious bow, either ;)! Thanks so much for playing along with us this week at The Play Date Cafe!

  2. Larissa, I love it! Is that cork paper you used, or real cork? It really grabbed my attention, as did that fabulous bow. :)

Thanks for joining us at The Play Date CAfe this week!
