I was totally excited about the challenge this week!!
You can find tons of INSPIRATION on the Retro Sketches Blog.
I am also playing along with Simon Says Stamp Challenge--Anything Goes and the Moxie Fab Wolrd Gingham Challenge!!
Here is what I came up with:
I used a green Gingham paper from October Afternoon and the diamond plaid paper is from My Mind's Eye!! I distressed a tag that I cut from a My Favorite Things die and then ran it through my embossing machine using a swiss dots folder from cuttlebug!! I also used a couple stitch embossing folders to give the look of faux stitching!! I then painted the tag and the Maya Road chipboard frame with white and malted milk paint daubers from Ranger. While the paint was still wet I rubbed an old book paper over the top of the wet paint and pulled it off leaving little pieces of the old book paper behind!! I then ran alittle more paint over it to make it blend in alittle better!! I added some felt to the inside of the frame to fill the frame and added a star that I added some faux stitching to. I added some Webster's Pages lace and pink doily ribbon to the tag and added the tag to the card base that was stamped with a text stamp from memory box!! I used frayed burlap distress ink and then second generation stamping so that the image was alittle distressed and imperfect!! I added some light pink ribbon and May Arts Burlap twine to the top of the tag with a vintage button from my grandmother's stash!! I added another button to the center of the star along with the heart stick pin from Maya Road!! The sentiment I stamped is from a Hero Arts and OWH stamp set!!
I just LOVE the way it turned out!!
THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)
