Retro Sketches Challenge #13!! =)

I was totally excited about the challenge this week!!
You can find tons of INSPIRATION on the Retro Sketches Blog.
I am also playing along with Simon Says Stamp Challenge--Anything Goes and the Moxie Fab Wolrd Gingham Challenge!!

Here is what I came up with:

I used a green Gingham paper from October Afternoon and the diamond plaid paper is from My Mind's Eye!! I distressed a tag that I cut from a My Favorite Things die and then ran  it through my embossing machine using a swiss dots folder from cuttlebug!! I also used a couple stitch embossing folders to give the look of faux stitching!! I then painted the tag and the Maya Road chipboard frame with white and malted milk paint daubers from Ranger. While the paint was still wet I rubbed an old book paper over the top of the wet paint and pulled it off leaving little pieces of the old book paper behind!! I then ran alittle more paint over it to make it blend in alittle better!! I added some felt to the inside of the frame to fill the frame and added a star that I added some faux stitching to. I added some Webster's Pages lace and pink doily ribbon to the tag and added the tag to the card base that was stamped with a text stamp from memory box!! I used frayed burlap distress ink and then second generation stamping so that the image was alittle distressed and imperfect!! I added some light pink ribbon and May Arts Burlap twine to the top of the tag with a vintage button from my grandmother's stash!! I added another button to the center of the star along with the heart stick pin from Maya Road!! The sentiment I stamped is from a Hero Arts and OWH stamp set!!
I just LOVE the way it turned out!!
THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)

For the second card (the one that was shared on the Prima Blog!! =) I used the canvas resist Heart Flower as my starting off point and sprayed it with Wheatfields Glimmer Mist!! YEAH!! These are some of my FAVORITE colors to wear!!
So when I saw this weeks challenge my mind was going CRAZY with ideas!!
If you want some INSPIRATION using this color palette make sure you visit The Play Date Cafe Blog, you'll be blown away with all of the creations!! =)
I could do so many things and I finally decided to go with these two designs!!

I wanted to use my New stamp set from Paper Trey Ink~On the Farm Stamp Set.
I am a country girl through and through so this set will be WELL LOVED!! =)
I wanted to use the fun background image along with the sentiment that was told to me time and time again while I was learning to ride and then it was put to use in other areas of my life as I got older!!
I used the die set that coordinates with the stamp set~On the Farm Die Set to die cut the horse and then popped it up on the base of my card to make it look more dimensional!! I had a pair of old jeans that I saved and decided it would be fun to rip a strip and use it on my card!! To make it fit in I sprayed it with Bell Bottom Jeans Glimmer Mist from Tattered Angels! Then I added a May Arts red stitched ribbon on top and after stamping the fun seal I added a May Arts Burlap twine bow behind it!! I LOVE the way it turned out!! All the papers I used are from the Basic Grey PB&J collection!!
THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)

Paper Trey Ink May Blog Hop!! =)

Blog hop inspiration

I was in LOVE with the INSPIRATION PHOTO for this months Blog Hop!!
I have several weddings coming up with Bridal Showers and Bachlorette Parties.  So when I saw the Inspiration Photo I thought it would be PERFECT for BOWS to add to all of the gifts that I will be giving away during all of the exciting events I have coming up!! I wanted to make them in advance that way I wouldn't be RUSHING around the day of the event!! After going through my stash I found this October Afternoon Paper that is probably a couple years old, but I have been hoarding it and finally decided to put it to good use!! I used the Loopsy Daisy Flower Die Collection from Paper Trey Ink and the Frilly Layered Flowers Die Set!! I cut two daisies out of black felt and then the smallest out of green canvas!! I also found alittle of the Green Polka Dot Tissue Paper from Pink Paislee and cut several of the smallest to layer with the canvas for the center of the flower!! Then I added a green button and used May Arts Black Burlap Twine to make a FUN looped flower and thread the button!! I can't wait to see how BEAUTIFUL my packages are going to look!! THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!! =)

Runway Inspired Challenge#12!! =)

Hello and Happy Friday!! =)
Today I wanted to play along with the GREAT challenge over on the Runway Inspired Blog.
I was in LOVE with ALL of the Inspiration Cards created by all of the DT Designers and I took my card in the same direction as several of them!! =)
I had gotten the Fun #-D Butterfly Die from Life Style Crafts and I knew right away that was the die I wanted to use!! After playing around with the die cut butterfly I decided to cut and piece the butterfly in several different layers to give a FUN geometrical shape just like the AMAZING fabric in the Inspiration Photo!! I had SO much FUN creating with this die!!  There are so many ways that you can use it!! I die cut the butterfly four times twice out of a blue, once out of an orange and once out of a purple cardstock!! Then I inked the edges with a black ink to make them  pop and to make it look more like the shape in the fabric!! I found a cream patterned paper from My Mind's Eye for the background of my card and it was a PERFECT fit!! I stamped the sentiment using a Paper Trey Ink stamp from the Beautiful Butterfly Stamp set!! Then I though that it would be fun to add some movement to the butterfly just like the movement in the dress by adding a dash stamp from The Craft's Meow Stamp set Happy Spring.  I then added it to a black core`dinations card base!! I just LOVE the way that my card turned out and I can't wait to play some more with the fun 3-D Butterfly Die from Life Style Crafts!!
Here are the photos of my card!!

THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND!! =)

Fun Confetti Frame Card!! =)

                                        AND

Hello!! I hope your week has been GREAT!! =)
Today I wanted to play along with these two challenges both of which are BRAND NEW to me!!  =)
I have been seeing different challenges that had been posted on several of the blogs that I follow and I decided I was going to play along this week!!
So I decided to use the Sketch from the Retro Sketches #12 Challenge. Then I wanted to use the color challenge from the Color Q Challenge #138.
I started out thinking that I wanted to use the NEW stamp set from Hero Arts and Studio Calico. I LOVED the fun ziz zag frame and I decided to use it but wasn't for sure where I was going!!??
After picking out my paper from My Mind's Eye, Making Memories and Core`dinations cardstock I decided I wanted to try and make a fun confetti card and use the frame as a holder. I used the Swiss cheese EK Success punch, and two different Memory Box die (the hearts and butterfly border dies) to make my confetti using ALL of the challenge colors!! Then I made a fun sack out of a sandwich bag. I stitched down one side and across the top of one corner of a bag and then added my confetti and stitched it the rest of the way closed!! I then stamped the frame and cut it out!! I added the sentiment and the ribbon from May Arts and added it to the card base with dimensional adhesive!!
For the rest of my sentiment I decided to use the wooden letter by Pink Paislee and I colored them with Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist in Starfish and Tutti Fruity!! I then decided to add some Chandelier Glimmer Glam and I LOVE the way they turned out!! To finish off my card I added some dash lines around the outline pf my card!!
So here what it looks like!!

THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!!

I LOVED this fun challenge!! The Bicycle image is just such a TREND right now!!
If you are looking for some AMAZING INSPIRATION go and check out all of the entries for the challenge here: Embellish Magazine Blog.
So my hardest decision was choosing what Bicycle stamp I wanted to use??  Well after looking through my stash I decided to use the Pink Paislee wooden Bicycle and then the Pink Pasilee stamp set both from the Nantucket Collection!! I wanted to see if I could stamp the image of the stamp onto the wooden bicycle and even though the scale wasn't a PERFECT match it WORKED!! I LOVE the way it turned out!! I then decided to use a map paper from October Afternoon and then some cardstock. I used a FUN bicycle background stamp from Unity Stamps and inked it in Fine Linen from Paper Trey Ink. I also used another stamp set from Pink Paislee the Daily Junque Collection and the telegram stamp is from The Craft's Meow!!
I used a zig zag die from My Favorite Stamps and burlap twine from May Arts Ribbon!!
Here are some pictures of my card!! =)

THANKS for stopping by today and have a FABULOUS WEEK!!

CAS-ual Friday's Challenge#53!! =)

Here is what I came up with!!
You can check it all out and get AMAZING INSPIRATION here:
CAS-ual Fridays Blog

(I changed my cards alittle after looking at them today!! Here is a photo of them before.)

I decided to use some of my Paper Trey Ink Flower dies and some NEW dies from Lil` Inker Designs. I have always LOVED the color combo of Mustard Yellow, Red, Cream, Khaki, and Brown shown in this color inspiration photo below.
Pinned Image
So I decided to use it for my jumping off point!! I found this while joining in on a swap over at YourPaperPantry.ning.com  If you've never heard of it you should check it out!! =)  We have monthly swaps in all different mediums and I will say that the connections that you make with other crafters is probably the BEST part!! It is a yearly fee of $12.00 and that pays for events and prizes and FUN Swaps each month!! If your instersted check it out and join us!! =)
I wanted to make a frame for my first card and decided to use a Maya Road Chipboard frame. I had to make four of these cards and didn't have enough of the one style so I made two different styles!! I wanted it to look like a real wood frame so I decided to ink it in a deep Coffee Archival Ink!! I Love the way it looks!! Then I made the flowers and I used both core`dinations cardstock and felt!! I added some lace a vintage button and a red gem to the center of the button to finish the flower off!! I then added some May Arts Burlap Twine in cream behind the flower to add some dimension. I cut two leaves out of some khaki felt and added some stitching to the leave using the same May Arts Twine!! I added it to the frame and I LOVE the way they turned out!!
For my next set of cards I decided to use the FUN Jars from the Dear Lizzy Neapolitan Line from American Crafts as my jumping off point!! From there after looking through my dies I decided to use the New Rainbow set from Lil` Inker Designs. I just LOVED this set when I saw it and I decided to add the rainbow to the inside of the jar!! I added a sentiment that came with the set and used the hello also from this set on the tag that I die cut using a tag die from W Plus 9. The little heart is from a set from The Craft's Meow!! I die cut a little heart from felt from another Lil` Inker Designs set. The Ribbon that I used is from May Arts A red Silk and a Yellow Bakers Twine!! Then a button and the lace are from Jolee's Boutique from the French Market Line!! I LOVE the way that I was able to use non-traditional colors for my rainbow and it still looks like a CUTE Rainbow!! Just goes to show that these dies are SO VERSATILE!! They can be used in several different ways!!

May Arts Ribbon Wednesday Video's
