The Cure for the Winter Blues Challenge!! =)

Here are just a few of the BEAUTIFUL BLUE challenge pics that Cath over on the Moxie Fab World Blog gave us for Inspiration!! You can find it here~
http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2012/02/cure-for-winter-blues-challenge.html
I wanted to try out this FUN technique that I have seen on a couple videos you can find one of them  here~http://scraptime.ca/blogpage/?p=4517
I used one of my NEW La Blanche Stamps and melted some Clear Ultra Thick Embossing Powder in my Ranger Melting Pot and then poured the Embossing Powder over the stamp after I had inked it up with Jet Black Archival Ink!!
Now to change it up a bit I wanted to color in the image a little so I used some Alcohol Inks by Ranger and I absolutely LOVE the way it turned out!! I am calling him my Little Boy Blue Card!! =)
My dad just recently suffered from a Massive Heart Attach it caught us ALL of guard and the doctors were surprised he made it to the hospital after they did his Heart Cath~I believe god wasn't ready for him yet!! =) Which is a BLESSING all it own. He had to have a Quadruple Bypass and I thought this would make a GREAT welcome home card for him!! He is a farmer and the overalls remind me of him when he is working!!
Here is a pic of my card!!

Here are a couple close ups just for a better look of the effect. I am SO going to try this technique again only I want to play around with other colors and additives!!
I hope you'll check out the video on this technique and give it a try!!
Have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)
