Today I made some fun tags and a card sharing a really fun Embossing Technique using Gelatos and Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist!! Here are the photos of those projects!!

Also here is the video showing you how to achieve this look!!
For this project you will need: Embossing Folders of you choice, Gelatos of your choice, Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist of your choice (I used Piece of Heart and Puorto Rico), Distress Stain in Picket Fence, Paint Dauber in Pearl, Distress Stickles in Rock Candy, Vintage Glass Glitter, Maya Road Wooden Snowflakes, Prima Pearls and Gems, and May Arts Ribbon of your choice.

The first step is to take the embossing folder of your choice and the gelatos of your choice (I would recommend using more than on color for added interest) I used the Tim Holtz Snowman/Snow Flurries Embossing folders and then the Light Blue, Dark Blue and white Gelatos!!
Next I colored on the desired side of my Embossing folder (raised side for and indented look, indented side for a raised look.) I colored on the indented side for a raised look on the snowman die and the raised side for an indented look on the snowflakes. Either way the look is really AWESOME!! =)

Next I took the Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist of choice (Piece of Heart and Puorto Rico) and sprayed inside the indented part of the folder on top of the gelatos that you have added to the folder.
Place your paper on top and sandwich the folder together and run it through your embossing machine.

Then cut out the snowman leaving a slight border around the edge.

Added some ink to the edges of the snowman for some added color and dimension.

Next take your tag and add Pearl Paint using the dauber to pounce leaving a texture that looks like snow. I added two layers and didn't worry about covering ever inch of the tag. This just adds even more life to the tag.
Once dry I added Distress Stickles in Rock Candy and let that dry.

I then distressed the edges of the tag and then added some of the gelatos to the edge of the tag to add some more color to define the tag edge/shape.

I then added the snowman and cut the May Arts ribbon #BS35 to size and sprayed it with glimmer mist to match the snowman color.  Then I cut two strips of May Arts Burlap twine and tied a double bow to add to the top of the ribbon and then placed a Prim gem in the center of the bow. I then added a Maya Road wood snowflake to the bottom of the snowman and placed a matching gem in the center of the snowflake and attached the snowman to the tag.

For the other tag everything is the same except I used Distress Stain in Picket Pence to color the tag!! I did this by covering the entire tag and drying and then recover and dry. Depending on the darkness of the color that you want you may have to do this up to 4 times.  Then I added distress stickles and before it could dry I covered it with Vintage Glass Glitter pressed it down into the stickles really well and then let it dry!! Then you are ready to distress the edges of your tag and add the gelatos to the edge. Place the snowman and add your ribbon.  I used May Arts Ribbon #336-38-34 and Sk10. I sprayed them both with glimmer mist to help them match the tag alittle better.
Then add the wooden snowflake and your ready to add to any package or card!!

For the Card:
I followed the same technique with the embossing folder only I colored on the raised portion instead of the recessed side of the folder. I then sprayed it with Glimmer Mist and ran it through my sizzix machine. I dried it and the cut to fit the front of my card!! I used a sizzix die to cut out the word wish and added distress stickles in Rock Candy and let dry. I then added May Arts Silk ribbon #SK10 and made a bow for the wooden snowflake to sit in the center of.  I added a prima gem to the center and my card was finished!!

THANKS SO MUCH for stopping by today!!
