Scootin by Newton Slider Card with Newton's Nook Designs!! =)

Happy Thursday!! =)
I'm up on the Newton's Nook Designs Blog today and just HAD to make a FUN Slider Card using the Sweet "Newton Scoots By" Stamp Set + Coordinating "Newton Scoots By" Die Set!!
I had a BLAST creating this Card!! Lets take a Look!!  =)

I started by Stamping and Embossing my Images onto Ranger Ink  Distress Watercolor Paper by Tim Holtz!! If you know me you KNOW I LOVE this Paper and use it for the Majority of my Card Making!! I used the coordinating Dies to Die Cut the Images out and then Colored them using Copic Markers!!  I added some Spectrum Noir Glitter Pen over ALL the Stamped/Embossing/Die Cut and Colored Images, except for Newton himself!! Then I Coated the Entire Scooter, the Flower Centers and the Butterflies with some Tonic Studios Morning Dew Nuvo Drops!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way the Scooter turned out in Real Life!! It looks just like a REAL Scooter with a Glittered Metallic Finish!! It also adds a Real Life look to the Butterflies and Flowers too!!  =) I used the Land Border's Die Set to Die Cut some Distress Watercolor Paper for the Grass and then used Distress Inks in Mowed Lawn, Crushed Olive and Gathered Twigs for the background layer and Mowed Lawn and Crushed Olive for the Front Layer!! Then I used the Sky Borders Die Set to create a Stencil so I could Ink my Sky Background with Tumbled Glass and Faded Jeans Distress Ink!! I LOVE the LIFE it adds to the Scene of my Card!! Plus, its SO AWESOME to be able to use your Dies in more than just the regular way of Die Cutting with them!! =) For more texture I added some Water Droplets too!! I used the Lawn Fawn Road Border Die Set to create the Road and then used the Lawn Fawn Slider Die Set to create the Slider Element for my Card!! I wanted to add a Sentiment so I Die Cut some Distress Watercolor Paper using the Banner from the Garden Window Die Set and Heat Embossed my Sentiment using Judikins Clear Detail Embossing Powder!! I added the little Periods with a Black Gel Pen and then added some Flower Bushes from the Versatile Vases Stamp Set, a Bird and some Butterflies from the Newton's Birdbath Stamp Set for another way to ground my Images and make the Scene even more REAL!! I added some 3mm Google Eyes from Studio Katia and then finished the Sentiment on the Inside of the Card Stamping and Embossing the Sentiment to coordinate with the Sentiment on the Front of the Card!!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it turned out and my Kiddos CAN'T STOP Sliding Newton on the Road across the Card!!  Making Cards like this just makes me HAPPY =)
