Hello!!
Welcome to the Newton's Nook Designs April Release!! SQUEAL!! You're going to LOVE LOVE LOVE these New Stamp Sets!! Today we're showcasing the New "Winston's Honeybees" Stamp Set!! Just look at these Images!! Aren't they FUN!!?? =)
I'm not gonna lie, the Sweet Winston Image is my FAVORITE!! =)
I'm still recovering from my Surgery, but I have a FUN Tag to share with you today!! I also have a Story to share!! We've had Honeybee's on our Farm for the last 4 Years!! =) A couple of Honeybee Keepers came to our Farm one day asking if we'd be Interested in housing some of their Honeybee Boxes and in return we would not only get the benefits of having the Honeybees around the Farm to help Pollinate the Alfalfa, Wild Flowers, Trees ect. but, we'd also get ALL of the Honey we could use!! =) So WIN WIN Right!!?? They're actually used for Pollinating Almonds in California!! Once they are done with Pollinating the Almonds in California they bring them out to our Farm here in Nebraska so they can rest!! Then before Winter hits they take them to South Dakota to Hibernate!! It has been such an AMAZING Experience!! I NEVER knew they did so much and that they traveled ALL over for the safety of the Honeybees!! Infact they should be arriving back to the Farm any day now!! =)
So as soon as I saw this Set, I just KNEW I had to use it to create a Tag to adorn a Jar of our Farm Fresh/Raised and Harvested Honey!! =) I Stamped and Embossed the Winston Image onto a Wooden Tag using Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink and some WoW Ultra Fine Clear Detail Embossing Powder!! I used my MISTI Stamping Tool just to insure I got a Crisp Image beings I was Stamping onto a Wooden Tag!! Then I used my Prisma Colored Pencils and Gamsol to Color in my Image!! I backed it with another Tag cut from some Patterned Paper!! I then Created a Sweet Ribbon Bow and my Tag was finished!! I just LOVE the way it turned out and I CAN'T WAIT to give this Jar of Honey away to Beckett's VERY AMAZING Teacher in a May Day Basket!! =)
