Welcome to the First Day of the
Newton's Nook Designs January Release!! Today we are showcasing the New
"Hoppy Days Stamp Set"!!
SQUEAL!! Aren't these Images just AMAZING!!?? I LOVE LOVE LOVE this time of year and I CAN'T WAIT to share what I have made for this Release!! I have TWO Cards to share today!!
First this
Sweet Frog!! I have two Boys who
LOVE Frogs and as soon as I saw this Set I just KNEW I had to use the Frog Image for a Card!! I wanted to
Create a Scene where the Frog was Jumping to catch a Heart and I
LOVE the way it turned out!! I started by
Die Cutting a
Lil' Inker Designs Diamond Lace Cover Up Die for my Card Base!! Then I
Die Cut 2 of the
Largest Lil' Inker Designs Dotted Tag Dies to use as the
Main Base for my
Scene from some
Distress Watercolor Paper!! I used some
Tumbled Glass Distress Ink to
Watercolor the background of the Top Tag!! Then I
Stamped and
Embossed my Images onto both
Patterned Cardstock and
Distress Watercolor Paper!! I used my
Distress Inks to
Watercolor the Images!! I used some
Pretty Pink Posh Sequins and
Water Drops to finish off my Design!!
For my Next Card I created a
Sweet Shaker Card!! I used the
Kangaroo Image and
Stamped it onto some
Patterned Paper!! I used my
Copics to add some shading just to add some depth to the Image and I really
LOVE the way it looks in real life!! I
ALWAYS LOVE to use my
Dies in
EXTRA Ways and with
Shrink Plastic I was able to create some
REALLY FUN Shaker Elements for my Shaker Card!! I used the New
"Darling Duos" Die Set that will be Showcased tomorrow to create the SWEET "LOVE" Script Shaker Pieces!! SQUEAL!! How FUN are these and they add just the right amount of added interest to the Card!! =) I also used the Mama Elephant All Prettied Up Die Set to create my Fun Card Base and some Pretty Pink Posh Crystal Clear Sequins and Seed Beads!! A few Martha Stewart Red Iridescent Mini Heart Confetti Pieces finish off my Card!! =)

It's really hard to decide which card I liked the most. First one definitely wins over with this lovely hopping frog that is trying to catch a heart. Great job with distress inks watercoloring. The second card with the lovely kangaroos is a shaker one which simply can't be resisted. Gorgeous creations! Well done!

Such wonderful cards with incredible details. Love the paper piecing on the kangaroo along with the special shaker elements. Love the watercolor background for the frog, too!
