Hello!!
I'm here for Day 2 of the Newton's Nook Designs June Release!! Before I get started with my Release Post though, I wanted to share the Pictures of the Sunset I took Last Night!! We were having SEVER Weather again as we have been this past week, but the Colors of this just can't be FAKED so I thought I'd share a little Piece of my HEAVEN on EARTH!! See how it looks like there are Rays coming from the Ground up to Heaven!!?? I've NEVER seen this before and just had to get a Picture!! I hope it makes you SMILE as much as it does me!!?? Okay back to the Release Post!! We are showcasing the New Fetching Friendship Stamp Set today and TRUST me when I say you will LOVE this Set!!
I have made Two different Cards to share today!! I started with a FUN Window Card!! I have a Peek-A-Boo Frame Die from MFT and I though it would be so Sweet to put that in the Center of a Heart!! I KNEW I wanted to use the Sentiment "LOVE is a Four Legged Word" and thought the Heart went well with it!! I also chose the Sweet Image with the Tilted Head!! Both of our Dogs Jazz and Bow do this ALL the time!! =) So when I saw this Image I just fell in LOVE with it!! I Stamped and Embossed it on to some Distress Water Color Paper that I used for the Inside of my Card and then I Water Colored it with my Distress Markers!! I just LOVE the way it turned out!! =) Black is a HARD color to achieve with Distress Markers as Water Colors because when you add Water the Inks Fade some, but if you keep Layering and Dabbing away the access in your Highlight spots it works really well and I personally think the Layers add Texture and Depth!!
For my Second Card I decided to use the same Image only I wanted to use the Sentiment "I Chews You"!! I LOVE the Play on words! =) I thought it would be FUN to have a bunch of Bones all around the ground Like the Dog "Chews You" instead of ALL those Bones!! =) I also thought about Putting the Bone in the Mouth and in the end I decided against it for this particular Card, but I plan on doing that for a different Card sometime!! =) I Stamped and Masked the Bones and Decided in the End to Cut a Few out and have them above some of the others for a more realistic look!! =) I Masked off the Ground and Inked the Sky with Tumbled Glass Distress Ink!! I used Kraft MFT Ink for the Ground!! I used my Distress Markers to Water Color the Image and I Stamped and Embossed my Sentiment!! I just LOVE the way it turned out!!
