Trigger Tuesday: Chiclectic

I LOVED the INSPIRATION PHOTO for this weeks Trigger Tuesday, which can be found every week over on the Moxie Fab World Blog here: http://www.moxiefabworld.com/2012/02/tuesday-trigger-chiclectic.html
Even if you decided not to or are unable to play along you can still blog hop along with those who are playing along to find TONS of AMAZING INSPIRATION!! =)
So here was the Trigger photo for this week~

I wanted to create several different takes on this so here is the first card~

I wanted to use the Large Fabric Background stamp by Hero Arts for my card background so I stamped it with versamark ink onto pink cardstock and then embossed it with clear embossing powder to lock in the pink color of the cardstock behind the embossing powder. Then I used several distress ink colors (Rusty Hing, Spiced Marmalade, and Wild Honey) to color the rest of the card background orange like the wall paper in the trigger photo!! I LOVE the way it turned out!! Then I used a metal die from My Favorite Stamps and cut it from gold cardstock. I wanted it to mimic the headboard in the trigger photo!! I used the fabric paper from Amy Tangerine and added the ribbon edging the both sides and then added the frame on top!! I then stamped a sentiment from the My Mind's Eye stamp set and used pop dots to attach it to the frame for some added interest!!
I LOVE the way my first card turned out!!

My next card looks like this~

Again I used the Large Fabric Background stamp from Hero Arts, but this time instead of embossing with a clear embossing powder I used Rose Moire'. It is a pink with gold mixed in it and it was PERFECT for this challenge!! =)
I then cut out several border strips from a gold cardstock (My Favorite Things Die).
I staggered them just alittle so that they would fit together like a puzzle. I backed those strips with a turquoise piece of cardstock and then I added some May Arts Grosgrain ribbon and then I cut out an open doily die from My Favorite Things.
I then ran the Amy Tangerine fabric paper through my sizzix and cut a doily so I would have a place for the sentiment. LOVING the way that the cards turned out!! =)
THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEK!! =)
