I had alot of fun making these cards for this challenge!! You can find out more about it here:
So here is what I came up with!!
I used the tiny hearts background stamp N134 Teeny Heart Background and I used Spiced Marmalade Distress Ink. I then stamped J120 Demi Dot Circle Frame in the NEW gathered Twigs Distress Ink. I used the MV-04 Marvy 2½" Scallop Circle Punch and then used chrome yellow archival ink and stamped the E132 Small Heart Outline in the center of the Demi Dot Circle Frame. I then stamped the D112 Chickie w/Heart Balloon in gathered twigs distress ink and then used watercolor pencils to color it in. I added glossy accents to the heart balloon. Then I stamped the D127 Elegant Floral Leaf Sprig under the heart outline using olive vine ink then I colored it in with watercolor pencils. I then stamped B104 Hey Chickie to make a little banner at the bottom of the page and added a gem. I then used pop dots to pop up the scalloped circle and then punched a 3 inch circle out of orange coredinations cardstock. I then punched a 31/2 scalloped circle out of brown cardstock and added pop dots to pop it up from the card base for dimension. I added the brown scalloped edge ribbon and the used the RB-7326 Orange Grosgrain Ribbon (3/8") and added it to the center and then made a bow. I added a gen to the center and the card was finished!! I LOVE the way that it turned out!! =)
The second card I made came about because I LOVED the New A102 Candy Corn stamp. I wanted to come up with a fun way to use it and then it hit me!! I wanted to make a candy corn wreath!! So I stamped the M52 Leafy Vine Wreath and then I colored it with watercolor pencils. I then used CL01 Crystal Lacquer and filled in all of the leaves while it was still wet I sprinkled it with the
SS09 Lime Sherbet Glitter then I went over the swirls with the crystal lacquer and then while it was still wet I covered it with the SS16 Citrone Glitter and it gave it this AWESOME two toned look!! Then I sat it aside to dry. I then stamped the A102 Candy Corn 13 times and colored them all with watercolor pencils them I added the crystal lacquer to them and sat them aside to dry. I then used the
MV-05 Marvy 3" Scallop Circle Punch and punched out the wreath. I used the Martha Stewart pinking any where punch for the center of the wreath. Then I added the candy corn pieces on top of the wreath using foam tape for dimension to add interest. I tied a burlap string in a bow and added it to the side of the wreath. Then I stamped F206 Happy Halloween on to a sticker from Little Yellow Bicycle that said This Candy Belongs to and it added the perfect title for my card!!
