Newton's Nook Designs September Release ~ Day 3 Beautiful Bones & Spooky Skeletons!!

HELLO!!
SQUEAL!! I'm here with Day 3 of the Newton's Nook Designs September Release 2017!! Today we're Showcasing the New "Beautiful Bones" Stamp Set and the Coordinating New "Beautiful Bones" Die Set and the New "Spooky Skeletons" Stamp Set and the Coordinating"Spooky Skeletons" Die Set!!
Let's take a Close Up Look at the New Products for today!!

SWOON!! Who LOVES Jewelry!!?? Well, I DO!! So when I saw this NEW Set, I KNEW I HAD to create a Day of the Dead Necklace!! This is WAY easier than one would think and I HOPE you'll give it a try!! I started by Stamping and Embossing my Image onto some Thick Jewelry Grade Sterling Silver Sheet!! Now the Sterling Silver 20  Gauge Sheet Metal is alittle EXPENSIVE, but I feel if I'm gonna put my time and effort into making something I want it to LAST and I want it to be good quality!! You can totally do this same technique on any piece of Nickel 20 Gauge Sheet Metal that you get for lots cheaper!! You can also use an already Die Cut Tag or precut Metal Element too!! There are LOTS of options out there to choose from!! Don't forget to hold the Metal Piece with Rubber Handled Tweezers or something as it get SUPER HOT when Embossing!! Once its Embossing let it cool down!! Then you have several options for coloring I've used the ColoriQue Inks by Lisa Marie Jimenez and a Very Fine Paint Brush!! Then once the Inks were Dry I went in with a N4 Copic Marker to add some shading around the Sugar Skull!! I Sealed the Piece with the ColoriQue Sealant to withstand the harshness of any Wear and Tear!! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the way it finished it off!! I Punched a Hole in the Top of the Sugar Skull and Adhered it to a Copper Metal Ring!! When Layered with a Turquoise and Coral Necklace I have the Colors just POP!!
For my Next Project I went the Party Route!! I mean how FUN are these Images for a Killer Halloween/Birthday Party!!?? I created some Gift Baskets using the Mama Elephant Basket Die Set, using some older Papers from My Mind's Eye!! I Stamped and Embossed the Images and Die Set them out using the coordinating Dies!! I used the Tags Times Two Die Set to create the Gift Tags and Stamped and Embossed the Sentiments from the Set!! For a FUN Interactive Design I used Glow-In-the-Dark WOW Embossing Powder and then added a Land Borders Die Set just to set the Scene!! There are SO MANY options for any Theme!! I create a YUMMY Drink Wrapper and some Straw Wraps from the Images in this set too!! I Stamped and Embossed the Images then DIe Cut them out!! I cut another Die Cut from plain Black Cardstock and then add some Glue to the Side of the Stamped Die Cut and Back it with the Black Cardstock Die Cut!! Place the Straw in the Center and then adhere the other side of the Stamped Die Cut and the Black Cardstock Die Cut to create the Straw Wraps!! EEKK!! How FUN are these!! It would be a FUN Project for the Kids to help with or do to!!  =) For the Drink Wrapper I Die Cut some Lawn Fawn Patterned Paper using the Sky Borders Die Set as I wanted the Stitched Scallop Edge on both sides of the Wrap!! !! Then I created the Cameo Frame Center Piece by Die Cutting and Layering several (4) of the Cameo Frame Image from some Dark Grey Cardstock and glued them together!! I wanted a Vintage Frame Look so I covered it with some Tonic Studios Aqua Shimmer Pen and then coated it with a Layer of Tonic Studios Morning Dew Nuvo Drops and let it Dry!! To finish it off I Die Cut one of the Base Layers form the Creepy Cameo Die Set from some Black Cardstock and then layered it all together!! I Stamped and Embossed the Sentiment into the Center and Adhered it to the Center of the Drink Wrap!!

I HOPE I've INSPIRED you today to look at these AWESOME New Sets in a NEW way and see that not only are they AMAZING for your Card Making needs, but they can be used for SO MUCH MORE!! =)
