Hello!! This is my first time playing along with the My Mind's Eye blog challenge!!
I LOVE all of the Lost and Found products and I just had to use them to create this card!! I stamped some Button cards onto the My Mind's Eye papers and then cut them out!! I added buttons onto one of them and then used one of the coordinating cardstock sticker ontop of a flower and added some My Mind's eye paper leaves!! I cut out a doillie from kraft paper and added it behind to make the button cards pop!! I then used a My Mind's Eye frame and word stamp!! I LOVE the way it turned out!! THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)

My Mind's Eye Layout Challenge

MME_LayoutSketch_2011_08
Here is the layout that I made using the sketch from the My Mind's Eye Layout Challenge on their blog!!
You can play along here: http://mymindseye.typepad.com/blog/

I used the Brand New Lost and Found papers and I LOVE them!!
My sister's and I had this photo taken at her wedding last June and
I had been waiting for the right paper to scrapbook it!!
When I saw this line I KNEW it was PERFECT!! =)
I did some cutting around the images so that I could place my base layers behind them. I didn't want to cover up any of that AWESOME glitter detailing!! =) I then cut my mat for my photo and I cut the scalloped edges off of a paper from the Lost and Found 1 set of papers!! It was the perfect fit for a border!! I inked the edges and then distresssed them. I used a cardstock title and popped it up surrounding it by two other glitter images!! I stamped the pink frame with one of the New Stamps from the line and then used a ticket piece from the line up above the photo and stamped the date on it!! I added some daisies that I sprayed with glimmer mist to match and added pearls and leaves!! I LOVE the way it turned out and I am SO GLAD that I waited to scrapbook it because I couldn't have asked for a BETTER MATCH!! THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)

Moxie Fab Trigger Tuesday Challenge!! =)

This is the Girly and Gutsy Trigger Challenge this week on the Moxie Fab world blog!!
You can play along here:
Here is what I came up with!! =)
I LOVED the challenge this week!! =) The colors were so fun and I LOVED the inspiration from the trigger photo!! I used my cricut and cut out the frame from black paper the a layer piece from book paper!! I then cut out a scalloped dollie in a yellow cardstock and I used it for the base!! I used pop dots to add dimension!!  Then I added some pink bias tape across the center before adding the frame ontop!! I used the Maya Road Silhouette shapes and I painted the base piece pink and then I covered the next oval with book paper. I painted the silhouette in gold and then added a black flower with a gem in the center and some pearls for a necklace. I also added a gold glitter the the edges of the frames.  I LOVE the added touch it gives!! I stamped using a paper trey ink stamp that fit this card perfectly!! Simply Fabulous!! =)
THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)

Our Weekend Last Week!! =)

WOW!! Were did the week go!!?? I had alot going on and before I knew it~~well the week was GONE!!
I have a BUSY couple of weeks ahead and I just had to share our weekend with you all!! =)
I live in McCook Nebraska which is in the southwest corner of the state!!  I LOVE our little town~~but I grew up in Indianola!! A town of about 400 people and my family is a BIG part of that number!!  =) We celebrate Old Settler's Day every year on the second saturday in August and have a parade along with a whole day of festivities!! Our family has had a float ever since I can remember!! My grandma started the tradition and it has just carried through. We all have our own little family floats now beings all of us would NEVER fit on one single float anymore, but it is still the same tradition. This year the theme was Best Little Town in the West~a Blast from the Past. So we decided we do a saloon and have the back of the pickup be a poker hall!!  So we would have the Old and the New!! We went to several thrift stores and antique malls and found some FABULOUS costumes and the boys had cowboy outfits from halloween last year so it was PERFECT!! =) Then we went about making the decorations!! I made all of the signs using my Cricut and then we made some of the stuff by hand!! I must say we are a VERY CRAFTY FAMILY!! =)
Well here is how it turned out!! The best part~~WE WON FIRST PLACE In the FAMILY FLOAT CATEGORY!! =) Gotta LOVE the fact that all of our hard work paid off!!
I LOVE my FAMILY!! =)
THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)
Here are the pics from the AMAZING WEEKEND we had!! =)
Here's to a repeat!!

How BLESSED we are to have these LITTLES in our lives!! =)
I'm pretty bias, but they are SO CUTE!! =) I love how their
personalities show through in this picture!!
From left to right front row: Kade (3), Beckett (4),
second row: Aubrey (4), Ashlin (6), Kenna (2) and back row:
Britni holding Maelee (4 months)!! LOVE THEM!! =)

Here is the cardboard Saloon!! I did a dripping paint technique
to make it look like REAL wood!! I LOVE the way
it came together!! It rained right after these photos so our
poor Saloon was alittle druppy for the actual parade,
but it still looked pretty AWESOME!! =)

Our cardboard Saloon!! I used the halloween lanterns
to hang on the sides and we used fabric
for the curtains. Added a rocking horse out front
and the saloon doors and we were looking good.

Beckett and I posing for some pics!! He wasn't wanting to stand still!! =)
Well I didn't blame him the kids were having TONS of fun
and eating candy!! Pictures aren't near as fun as candy at 10:00 AM.   =)

Here we all are together!! My dad being goofy as usual!! =)
My sister-in-law Kelly is on the far left,
Skyler, ME, my mom, Kylee holding Maelee  and Britni!! =)

We are all posing and decided to do a "FUN pose"!! Love Skyler's Kiss!!

This is my sister Kylee and her husband Brad with the
4 month old Malee!! =) Her FIRST Famliy Float!! =)
I LOVED the cow outfit she found along
with the little bounet too cute!! =)

This is the second youngest- my sister Britni and her husband Aaron
with their kiddos Ashlin (6), Aubrey (4) and Kade(3).
What a cute little FAMILY!! =)

OMG!! I LOVE this!! =)
My dad is a BIG JOKER!! He is worse than any child
when it comes to letting you get a GOOD PICTURE!!
I don't think I have a SINGLE PIC from the day
 with a plain smile!! =)
LOVE YOU MOM and DAD!! =)

My BABY SIS Skyler and her boyfriend Bryson!! =)
She just left for her 1st year of college yesterday!!
We are going to miss her, but I thing the kids will
miss her even MORE!! She is kinda the FUN ONE!!

Here is the pickup decorated as the Poker Hall and you can see the guys
in the backplaying cards!! We all HAVE AWESOME hubby's.
They always play along with us and dress up in WHATEVER
we tell them to wear!! LOVE YOU GUYS!! =)

This was on the grill gusrd of the pickup to JAZZ up the front!! =)

This is the sign we had on both sides of the pickup!!
I made it using cuts from the Cricut and then my mom drew the sign,
guns and banner and we cut them out.
I LOVED the it turned out!! =)

I made this sign for the saloon. I used cuts from my cricut
and I LOVE the way it came together!! =)

This is the last thing people see!! We wanted something to add to
the back of the float and I came up with this 3-D shadow box.
I wanted something that we could add all of our names to
and a sun was PERFECT!! It has glitter on it too and
looks REALLY neat in the sun!! I also covered it with a
clear scrylic spray so that it will stand the test of time!!??
We re-coat it every year, we have used  it
for 4 years know and still solid!! =)

This is a side view so you can see the 3-D view!!
 It's AWESOME!! =)

Beckett was SO EXCITED!! He told his grandma that he had
a place on his shelf above his bed for the trophy!! =)
She had to laugh because he had it ALL figured out!!
The trophy went home with g-ma & g-pa so they
could add to our other trophies!! =)

Coloring Color Trends Challenge!! =)

Hello!! =) This is my Second time doing this challenge and I LOVED the color combo!! I actually had several cards and I decided to just share this one for the challenge!! I used the Craft's Meow Stamp sets (Simply Delightful and Happiness Is) for the entire card!! I wanted to make a folk art inspired card!! I had taken my idea from a card that Betsy Veldman had shared on the Paper Trey Ink Blog. http://nicholeheady.typepad.com/capture_the_moment/2011/02/index.html (you can check it out here)
I LOVED it and I wanted to make it my own!! I think it turned out pretty well although I know I still have ALOT to learn about stamping!! I used watercolor pencils to color all of the images after I had stamped them in the colored inks to give them some dimension. I then sprayed them all with Tattered Angels glimmer mist in a coordinating colors!! I LOVE the sheen that it gives!! I made the base of my card out of sticky back canvas to make it feel more quilt like and I LOVE it!! THANKS for stopping by and have a FABULOUS DAY!! =)

DeNami Mini Card Hop!! =)

Hello!!
How AWESOME is the DeNami Mini Card Blog Hop!!??  I know you are having a BLAST and getting LOADS of inspiration from all of the TALENTED LADIES!! You should have arrived here from  http://pawstoscrap.blogspot.com/
AMAZING BLOG!! =) If you ever get lost along the way you can go back to the DeNami Blog http://denami.blogspot.com/ to get back on track!!
I just had to make some Halloween Mini Cards for you today!!
All of the items that are in bold type can be found on thier on-line shop!! =)
Have you seen all of the FABULOUS STAMPS on the DeNami Site!!??
If not check these SPOOKS OUT!!
I have used E145 Friendly Ghost,  F208 Open Box, and D126 Friendly Bat for my first mini card!!
I wanted to make a tall and skinny mini card it measures 3 X 6. The base is actually a left over card stock piece from a Little Yellow Bicycle envelope album kit and it made the perfect base for my mini card.  I layered two ghost stamped images together with foam tape in between for dimension. I then stamped the open box stamp and colored it in using watercolor pencils. I stamped the A92 Teeny Star stamp in yellow staz-on to decorate the box. I added it to the bottom of the card. Then I stamped three Friendly bat images and used watercolor pencils to color them as well. I added them around the card and glued down only the bodies of the bats so I could pop up the wings to make them look like they are flying. Here are some pictures!!

The second card I made came about because I LOVED the New A102 Candy Corn stamp. I wanted to come up with a fun way to use it and then it hit me!! I wanted to make a candy corn wreath!! So I stamped the M52 Leafy Vine Wreath and then I colored it with watercolor pencils. I then used CL01 Crystal Lacquer and filled in all of the leaves while it was still wet I sprinkled it with the
SS09 Lime Sherbet Glitter then I went over the swirls with the crystal lacquer and then while it was still wet I covered it with the SS16 Citrone Glitter and it gave it this AWESOME two toned look!! Then I sat it aside to dry. I then stamped the A102 Candy Corn 13 times and colored them all with watercolor pencils them I added the crystal lacquer to them and sat them aside to dry. I then used the
MV-05 Marvy 3" Scallop Circle Punch and punched out the wreath. I used the Martha Stewart pinking any where punch for the center of the wreath. Then I added the candy corn pieces on top of the wreath using foam tape for dimension to add interest. I tied a burlap string in a bow and added it to the side of the wreath. Then I stamped F206 Happy Halloween on to a sticker from Little Yellow Bicycle that said This Candy Belongs to and it added the perfect title for my mini card!! I sure hope you LOVED the Mini Cards that I have shared today and hope you have fun on the rest of the DeNami Mini Card Blog Hop!! Your Next stop is   http://www.ruby2shoesdesign.blogspot.com/
Here are some pics of my final Mini Card that measures 31/2 X 41/2.
Have a FABULOUS WEEKEND!! =)

Prima Product Challenge for July!! =)

PPPJUly
July's PPP is filled with gorgeous reds, whites, and blues!
Here is what I came up with!! =)

I sure had fun with this wall hanging!! I have a little entry area that is decorated with Red, Blue and White and I wanted to make something that I could hang on the wall.
I had the AWESOME black velvet iron-on by Donna Downey and Prima~I LOVE the QUOTE:
If you can IMAGINE it, you can ACHIEVE it!! So I cut it apart so that it would fit on the circle frame that I cut out using the cricut and ironed it on!! =) Then I cut out a stencil so I could use the prima stencil in the center of the circle to add a neat background behind the main star focal point. I used Snow Queen and Silver sugar glimmer mist to spray over the stencil and I LOVE the way it turned out!!
I LOVE GLIMMER MIST!! =) Then I cut several different star shapes out of four different PRIMA papers. I also cut some out of white canvas. Then I arranged them layering the larger ones in the center and using the smaller ones around the edge to create a second frame. I love the look it gives!! I added some PRIMA flowers to the 2inch stars on the border and also to the center star to add some depth and really like the look it gave to the piece!! I then added a prima ribbon trim to the bottom of the piece to finish it off and I already have it hanging in the entry way!! =)
THANKS for stopping by and check out the prima blog @ http://prima.typepad.com to see all of the AWESOME inspiration that they share and to join in on the monthly challenges!! =)
Have a FABULOUS DAY!! =)
